Lava HD-468 Indoor HDTV Antenna 50 Mile Receiving Range

This television antenna noticeable improved my television reception. I live just north of Chicago, almost within sight of the broadcast antenna,. But like most people in the northern and the northwestern suburbs my over-the-air television reception is poor. I've tried four passive antennas used with and without two different free standing antenna amplifiers but my signals kept breaking up. I've tried placing the antennas in various locations with no improvement. My last antenna was an RCA brand amplified antenna. While the RCA amplified antenna improved my reception, I was still having problems. The reason I bought this particular antenna was because it had the highest built-in amplification I could find. I was skeptical it would help. But after everything else I've tried I thought it was worth the risk. I was pleasantly surprised when it improved my reception. Although my picture still breaks up occasionally in bad weather that small extra amplification made a noticeable improvement.

Received very few channels.....very dissapoited

I'm not completely satisfied with this purchase since my reception is still "jumping" around and scrambled off and on. I have keep moving the antenna around until reception clears up. Reception is better on some channels than others. Reception quality depends on the time of day. I feel quality should be much better than it is for the price of this antenna.

4 stations (channels) for $35.00 is not worth the money. 1 station was a shopping network station, 1 was a community service station, 1 was a classic (old movies) station and 1 was a major network station with a distorted view. Save your money.
