Low space for memory but not too bad for price.
This phone is fun, lasts long, 4G, and worth more $$$. People keep complaining on space and it is sometimes irking when you run out of space. But this phone is really nice I am comparing this to the S5 the battery is good if not better.Picture is awesomeSame amount of bloatwareIf you only need a couple apps netflix, pandora, twitch, phone 2 sd card and amazon and the phone is basically full. All in all a good phone for the money I reccomend for light app users oh ans it does have an sd card port so you can upgrade space i have a 64gig card in it.

Why are you here? I came for the 64-bit processor . . .
But stayed for the build quality. As a parent whose 13-year old requested an android device with a shiny quad core and decent gaming performance, I am pleasantly surprised to report this low-end phone delivers like a high-end champ in the categories that matter to him, i.e., frame rates, response times, and is equipped with SD and Sim card slots. He also approves of Polaris Office for schoolwork, which comes preinstalled. Sure, HTC cut obvious corners to make this device affordable--mediocre camera and screen, no flash--and most negative reviews seem to be preoccupied with these deficits. However, the screen is solid, clear, and bright, while the handling and heft of the HTC 510 (including a frame that seems to be painted metal, grappling a rubberized plastic body) makes the competition at this price in the Virgin lineup feel downright flimsy in comparison. Coupled with Virgin's twenty buck-a-month plan (which limits my son to school Wifi-only web access), this phone is an underrated bargain that helps this parent feel a *little* more comfortable giving a smart kid a smartphone.

Great phone.
Received the phone today. delivery was a few days early. Brand new packaging and the phone looks great. Looks larger than the Samsung Galaxy G3 I had. This phone seems thicker and more substantial than that one.The blue is very dark, almost black. The color wasn't something I was concerned about so it was a pleasant surprise. To instal the battery you have to remove the back cover. I found this very difficult to do. I guess I was trying to be too careful, but I didn't want to break my new phone. I eventually removed it with a small knife, and installed the battery and memory card. It's not necessarily a bad thing that the back is difficult to remove, as it fits the phones case like a glove and is very secure. Also, the back has a rubberized texture which helps make the phone easier to hold, at least for me.I think this is a great phone. The screen resolution looks very good, and the phone is the perfect size. May not have any bragging rights when compared to an Apple 6 or Samsung G5 but this phone didn't cost $600. I'll take this phone and the $500 I saved and be very happy.

For the Price... best thing since sliced bread!
Does everything I wanted it to do and more... and much cheaper than the cousin - desire 816. I like this one much better than the 816 mainly because it is a better size -- not so large to hold in the hand. I also find the buttons are placed much better (thank the 816) relative to where I hold this phone. There is one annoying issue with the 510. When you get a text message, the phone vibrates every 15 seconds which cant be turned off. Took us a while to narrow down the cause. If you google "Desire 510 constant vibrate" - you will see people think it is multiple issues... but we narrowed it down on our phone after a while to the text message. As soon as all the message status is "read" it stops with the constant vibrate. Camera is Okay on this phone, can take a large memory upgrade, music playback is good, can hold lots of apps if you set it up to use the memory upgrade chip and not the phone memory. My daughter complains it's not an iPhone (which you pay way too much for the name)...the features are more robust, so I think its better!
