Good value, looks great, take your time with assembly
Arrived on time, materials were in good shape, hardware was higher quality than I expected based on reviews I read. I saw a lot of reviews that the lumber was cheap or cracked very easily. I'm not sure what those people expected but my expectations were met. Would you use this lumber to build a house? No. Is it suitable for a swing set, absolutely. Do I feel like my kids are in any danger when they play on it? Absolutely not.In response to the comments stating that the lumber cracked when bolts were tightened, I would guess they were using an impact driver or over-tightening. I cracked 1 board during the entire process board and it was my fault. I reinforced that section with some scrap I had and it's all good. Kids love it, looks great, priced right. Would buy it again - thank you!

Great swing set, but a few issues
My husband and I read the reviews and knew what we were getting into we are overall happy and our kids love it. Shipping -3 or 4 pieces did arrive with cracks. We called the manufacturer they immediately sent us the replacement parts and also suggested staining the wood before we built it. We live in texas so we need a good sunproof and waterproof stain to make the set last longer.Assembly -We downloaded the Bilt App, found our set and it made assembly 100 times easier.Cracked wood- the wood is did crack if we didn't predrill, tightened something too tight, or if we looked at it the wrong way. But the manufacturer said they they would send us replacements If it happened during assembly. So be aware of that.Anchors- we still have to figure out how to anchor the set. The anchors they gave us don't work without backyard because it is all rock under the grass. But that isn't really the manufacturer's fault.Hardest part was the slide, and not cracking the wood.My husband and I had 2 drills, which helped speed up the process.Overall it wasn't too hard, especially using the app on my phone. The customer service at backyard discovery is amazing. Open the box, check the parts and pieces and stain the wood ahead of your build day.

BUYER BEWARE
I gave one star only because I can't give it ZERO.1. This wood is ABSOLUTELY NOT cedar. Completely false advertisement2. The instructions are horrible; not clearly marked or explained.3. We predrilled holes as instructed, but the wood still split. Several pieces were already cracked when the shipment arrived.4. This is not at all sturdy enough to hold as many children as the pictures indicate. One 4 year old sat on the bench after we got it assembled and attached to the play house and it immediately broke.5. We have this swing/playset anchored as instructed but it still rocks and back and forth when 2 children (total weight of about 90 pounds) are swinging at the same time.6. The upper "house" part of the structure moves back and forth when children are swinging, it looks like the entire thing is going to topple over.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PLAYSET!!!!!!!! Please SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy either a different brand or get lumber yourself to build your own. This was a surprise gift for my children and it was SUCH an immense let down. Definitely have buyers remorse. Attempting to contact the company to see what they plan to do about producing such a subpar product for the $$$ they want for it.

A nice swing set and priced about right compared to other sets
A great swing set if built correctly. Don't listen to all these negative reviews about wood quality.. You're not building a house people, not sure what you expected. it's a swing set. The set will handle the weight of 3+ kids at the same time. If you're careful And don't over tighten the bolts, you won't crack the wood. If you use the included ground anchors properly, the set doesn't move or wobble at all. My set isn't sitting on level ground and doesn't move. The monkey bars section is a bit lower than the swing side because of this and I have had 0 issues so far. I was missing one nut and bolt, had to flip an extra buck and trip to Lowes. Took us two afternoons to assemble. Can't keep the kids (2 and 4) off it :)

Swing set seems good for the money
This. Swing set seems good for the money. Some of the wood is a hit thin, for example the rock wall ladder rings I feel should be thicker wood. Some of the pieces split a little bit but do not seem to be compromising its overall structural integrity. It took forever to put together, mostly because I did it myself while watching my two kids. The instructions are pretty common sense, but they do not always explain everything in writing. They often say "assemble aS pictured below" A level ground to build on not only actually matters, it's crucial! I did not do this before building so I had to do it after and it was a hugeeeeee PAIN. I'd probably buy again because it's a decent price. I might look around though. We'll see how it holds up. I'll write a review After it gets some wear.

We just finished putting this together. My 7 year old absolutely loves it! She's been on it nonstop since her daddy finished. I read the other reviews after I bought it and was a little leery. The wood is a little less substantial than I'd like but it can be easily modified and substituted if your even remotely mechanically inclined. I love that it has ground anchors.

Average quality, fair price.
Instructions were easy to follow. Construction is somewhat sturdy. Wood is very soft, leading to damage when trimming around it.

Decent set. I am quite handy, i build all sorts of stuff. took me about 3 days to assemble. i stained all the wood first which took longer than assembly. It is definitely not for large/older kids but perfect for children up to i'd say 10 or 11 years old. no missing pieces. my daughter loves hte double swing. If you are not handy and don't have your own set of good tools, you may want to consider something a little easier to put together. i think this will last until my daughter is too old for it. she has her 6th birthday coming up. Instructions were a little vague but definitely not written by chinese. I've had some manuals that were clearly poorly interpreted by a chinese person. I would reccomend this to friends, but it won't last for ever, staining/sealing the wood first will add life and prevent the wood from drying out and cracking.
