OK in this case it all depends. So if you have not changed your transmission fluid in 35,000 to 40,000 miles you should drain your fluid and add new fluid and then add the Liquid Moly. Note if you do the drain yourself only 1/2 of the fluid will drain out as there will be 50% of the fluid in your torque converter, and to drain this out you would add new fluid back to the transmission drive it for a few miles and then drain it again and re-add thus most of the old fluid will be removed. Note never overfill you transmission fluid so say the Liquid Moly is 160z half a quart you would need to put have a quart "less" of transmission fluid again NEVER over fill. If you don't drain the fluid yourself and take it to the shop they will know what to do. So change yourself see above, add yourself to existing fluid drain 16 oz and then add Liquid Moly. NOTE never add the this additive to a CVS transmission I.E. Nissan-Infiniti or again ANY car that is a CVS transmission!!!! Hope this helps.

Note if you are using this product and you have not changed your transmission fluid in a long time say 50,000 miles or so you should do so as this product works better when you have new-clean transmission fluid.

Can I use this with honda atf dw1?

DW-1 is excellent for your Honda - and very reasonably priced. Stick to the DW-1 but do a 3x drain and fill on your trans.
