Not bad, could be better
I have a 34" waist and wear a size 44-46 jacket. This vest fits OK if I am wearing a long sleeve flannel underneath. I doubt I could use this vest with a heavier hooded sweatshirt or jacket. The vest rides real well, and is comfy. I like it much better than the strap vest it replaced. The elastic shell loops could be tighter, I noticed even with 12 gauge shells they are loose fitting. 16 or 20 gauge shells would fall through. The magnetic closure on the front pockets are great, I just hope they last the life of the vest. The game pouch is on the smaller size, which works for me because I seldom take more than 4-6 quail or chukar. Any more and it would not be large enough. It is almost impossible to get a bird into the pouch without taking off the vest. I like that the game pouch is removable, and easily cleaned. Overall this vest is OK, and I would give it a 6.5 on a scale of 10.

TINY game pouch.
Comfortable pack, room for gear, hydration pouch. All good. Could have more room for gear but it worked for my couple hour hikes. The main issue and the reason for my 1 Star review: Tiny game bag. Two pheasants and it’s PACKED. If you’re in the mountains and you shoot a grouse or whatever that you want to mount, good luck. If it’s in the game bag it’ll be trashed by the time you get back to the truck. It fails in to perform in the one area it exists for. Go elsewhere.

Pros and Cons....but mostly Pros.
For the most part, this is an excellent pack for single hunter.Cons: - Three full grown pheasants is a push, and they are difficult to get into the pack while you have it on. - Some of the rear pockets you can't get to while you have the unit on. - Carry handle between the straps is a little flimsy. Will have to see how it holds up.Pros: - When you have it on, fully loaded, you don't feel weighed down. - Gun mounting is not hindered - Water Bladder is an nice added feature for the dogs. No water bottles falling out. - Well constructed, for the most part. - Additional removable game bag is a nice added featureGrouse, huns and smaller game birds fit into the pack easily while it is worn. I would recommend this pack to other upland hunters. -

Game changing vest
Amazing. Great for bird hunting. Don’t go hungry or thirsty bladder and extra pockets are great for food and water. It has lots of room for birds also. Great on my shoulders. Definitely a game changer for bird hunting.

Great product
Nice product. Wish side pockets were easier to get to. Very comfortable to wear. Love the water bladder system.

Magnetic pockets not a winner
Got this after considerable research to replace my old-school orange hunting vest. Initially I liked it alot. Then I noticed I was losing shells from the magnetic side pockets. I did have the straps snapped and closed, but still the pockets want to open and spill the contents.. I'll be going back to my old beat up hardware store vest...

Great vest, picture differs from the product
I wanted this vest but wanted the one with the magnetic closures found in the Badlands video on their website. The picture on their website and the one here on Amazon, didn't show the same pockets. I purchased it in August 2013, and was please to see that it did have the magnetic closures. The quality seems very good and I will use it for dove hunting in Texas heat in September. Looking forward to inserting my Camelback in the hydration pocket to keep hydrated. I would recommend the vest at this time.

It has everything I need.
This vest is awesome. I also used it boar hunting. Holds spare ammo, a water bladder, snacks, spare clothing, and birds. The shoulder strap doesn't get in the way of shooting and is thin enough that it doesn't change your reach. The front pockets have magnetic closures (I love this feature because its quiet and secure). It also has hi viz orange to meet hunting requirements. What more do you want?

Good vest, practical and well designed/made
Good vest, practical and well designed/made.Two issues: 1) the orange isn't "blaze" enough. To hunt locally I will need to layer more blaze orange underneath. 2) I wish there was more orange in the front, like running along the shoulder strap.I love the pouch for hydration pack and front pouches that use magnets.I will be testing the Tenzing BV16 to compare these two products.

Buy it.
Awesome backpack and I highly recommend it. For all the claims about small game pouch I carried out 6 pheasants and a rabbit on the bottom. There are two straps right beside the each side of the waist that tighten or loosen the game bag. These straps are nice since you can pull the weight tight to the body for better weight distribution.

but great vest, solid construction
Not exactly blaze orange, but great vest, solid construction. She'll holders only hold 12 gauge shells, wish they held 20 gauge shells.
