Found gold with goldring
I have been looking for a new mm cartridge to replace my mp110 which is an excellent cartridge, i looked at AT 530 Sumiko moonstone, after a long time debating reviews, i whent with the goldring, it fitted in to my system not to bright or bases heavy and a midrange that is just spot onNeeds at least 20 sides to brake in, i now thinking i should of gone for 1042, that's the next upgrade

A Good Mid Range All Rounder
I have this cartridge mounted in a SME 3009 series 3 arm, conventional wisdom dictates the arm should be matched with a high compliance cartridge, however the 1006 is what I would describe as medium compliance, that being said tracking at 1.5 grams this sure footed combination produces excellent results.The sound is not overblown,quite a tight bass for a moving magnet,vocals are well forward (which I like) and treble is light and airy.As I say a good mid range all rounder that should satisfy lovers of most genres of music.
