I don't know, because it was 3-4 months until I tried to use it. Did not work. I don't think there is any paint in the tube, but too late to return. wish I could help.

Will these cover scratches on a black leather car seat?

I wouldn't use this to cover scratches on leather. It is flat (flatter than matte) and I assume your leather seats are somewhat glossy. If it were me, I'd look into a vinyl seat repair kit. Would probably match the leather much better. If you go this route (paint pen). You might want to go for a gloss black.
