Murad Acne Control Skin Perfecting Lotion - Step 3 (1.7 fl oz), Oil-Free Daily Hydrating Face Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin with Retinol and Allantonin to Reduce Oil, Tighten Pores, and Calm Skin

I ordered this product after reading great reviews. I applied the product all over my face. Everything seemed fine, but with a couple hours my face starting itching and started turning red. It is now the 2nd day, and it looks like I have a sever sunburn. My eyelids are swollen, my skin is bright red, burning and itching. I have hives all over my neck and decolletage. My face is hat and I am miserable. I'm applying strips of fresh aloe vera leaf on my face to reduce the symptoms.

I got this initially through Fab Fit Fun and loved it. After running out of the sample (which was the same size I ordered) I ordered off of amazon. It dried out my eyelids horribly to where they itched and got super swollen and ultimately peeled the skin off. It took me a while to figure out it was the lotion vs other products I was using like anti wrinkle gel or new waterproof mascara since I loved my initial bottle. I stopped using it and went back to my old moisturizer and my lids healed up. I tried it again the other day to be sure it was this very expensive lotion... and same reaction. And this time I avoided my eyelids entirely only using my usual moisturizer around my eyes. Never again

It has been years since I have found a face lotion that I loved. So I was surprised when I tried this lotion and loved it. I have combination skin that can lean toward the shiny side through out the day. This lotion moisturizes but does not leave my face feeling oily. My face, with normal morning application of powder, stays low shine through out the day. Less oil seems to make my complexion seem more even (I only wear blush & powder on my face). I was introduced to Murad products through facials at Massage Envy Spa, and it has now become my daily, nighttime go to moisturizer. My favorite thing about this product is that it is so smooth and lightweight, it absorbs right into my skin and I can't even feel I'm wearing it. I hate when a moisturizer feels heavy or greasy at all, you know? I have very sensitive skin, so I also love that this product is very gentle, little to no fragrance, so no breakouts or irritation from any of Murad's line for me. It seems to calm and soften my skin with every use. I also LOVE that they do not test on animals. The only downside for me is the price for the volume. I am on a budget, so it's a little rough for me, so I tried to find something similar, but there is literally nothing on the market I have come across even close to this, so I am willing to shell out the cash for such an amazing product!

I really wanted to love this lotion because I have heard so many great reviews on it. I don't suffer from acne, only hormonal. And this seemed to cause more breakouts than normal. I tried this product for about a month to get a full review, but I could barely last that long. This seems to be one of the skin products that may work for one person but not for another. I gave three starts because it was moisturizing and did soak in the skin well without making my face look oily.

This is the best moisturizer for acne-prone skin that I’ve found, most oil-free moisturizers absorb immediately then my skin feels dry again, this is a heavier moisturizer, good for nighttime use, my skin really feels moisturized in the morning, doesnt break me out, very light smell, feels good on skin

Unfortunately, this product made my skin worse. I had horrible break outs as a result of using it for a little over a week. I thought that maybe I should give it two weeks (as is usually the case with traditional acne treatments) but my skin looked too bad, and I felt way too self-conscious. I really wish that this product could have worked for me because I had heard and read so many positive things about Murad and it was quite expensive.

I am acne prone with dry patches. This is the only lotion I can use. I use it twice daily.
