I generally only use live bait that has been caught the day of fishing, and as expected they die after a while, sometimes sooner than later depending on how you're fishing and how bad they're traumatized.This felt like a really great way of keeping them "alive" and enticing once they're no longer moving on their own. Wasn't able to get video or pics of the first time use, but the sizing does seem to be a bit off. They recommend 5-8" baitfish but this thing is almost 5" long itself, so most of them it won't even fit in their mouth at 5" long, and if it does it may still stick out of their mouth. Might still fool and work but plan on probably at LEAST a 6" fish.I was always nervous about anything electronic being cast out due to potential loss but the way they have you rig these with a separate leader and no hook means you can extract it from your catch even if they swallow it as long as you can cut the lead with your hook on it.It is packaged beautifully, the directions are clear, and the movement is great. It's built well and feels more expensive than it is. The "on/off" is capacitive so it's designed to make contact and turn itself on when in the water and touching the innards. Or if you touch it.Definitely excited to keep this in my box and put it to use.One thing to note is they claim 2 hours of life, and "over" 300 charges, so that is a LOT of fishing but there is no way to change or replace a battery so this does have a finite lifespan.

Impressed is not even a strong enough word to express how much I was blown away by the quality and design of this product. The engineers were able to take something so simple and make it into an incredible product that I feel will for ever change how we approach fishing with live bait. The packaging for the product was of the absolute highest quality and the attention to detail was breath taking. The smart bait mini even came with a leather carrying case and one of the most durable brand stickers I have ever seen. The product itself is so simple to use that my grandmother could easily use it, though I doubt she would have the stomach to. You don't even have to turn the product on. Instead, it uses sensors, located on the back, to detect when it's inside the fish and then turns itself on. The movement that it gives to dead fish is absolutely incredible and they look almost more alive than before they died. In conclusion this is a product of the absolute highest quality and ingenuity. I would highly recommend it to anyone who uses live bait and can say with great confidence that the fishing industry will be forever changed.

This is such a cool little gadget, and it works really well when used with the right-sized bait fish. If the bait is too small, it won’t fit properly, and if it’s too large, it won’t perform as intended, but when you get it right, it’s very effective.One thing to watch out for is losing it if your line breaks, so make sure it’s securely attached before casting. Despite that, I would 100% recommend it—it’s both fun to use and genuinely effective on the water.

Picked this up out of curiosity to see if it could bring some dead bait back to life. It’s lightweight and the motion it creates actually looks pretty realistic in the water. Build quality feels solid and charging was simple. I haven’t had a chance to use it during a serious fishing trip yet, but it looks promising for reviving smaller baitfish when you need to give them a second shot. Definitely a unique tool to have in the tackle box.

I love this little fish animator. And I'm impressed that it's got a magnetic charging connection, so no liquid could get in as would be the case with a usb c. And it comes with two nice liters. I can't wait to try it.

I’ve never heard of anything like this before and was curious how it would work and if it would work. To my surprise it does work. You put this into a dead fish that you want to use as bait and there are contacts on the side of the lure that cause it to move when touched. This causes the fishes tail to move making it appear to be alive when it isn’t. Genius idea. Comes with a nice carrying case, charger, and metal connect line. The quality is better than expected, and it will fit into small to medium sized fish easily. Could have a great gift value to the fisherman in your family! Works better than expected. Great for bass fishing! When inserted the dead fish’s swim ability is so life like it will make you wonder if it’s actually dead.

Works 100% as advertised! Super cool for high pressured fishing places where only live bait works! Very easy to use! Seems a little delicate but we'll see. Im not disappointed.
