No flats in 300 miles
I bought two of these 6 months ago to replace some old tubes in a road bike that was given to me. I have now put about 300 miles on them without issue. I went ahead and bought two more a couple weeks ago to have some spares on hand just in case, but I feel like these are performing great.I have been pretty careful about not riding through potholes or broken pavement, but of course every once in a while it happens and these tubes have shrugged off the hits. After one particularly nasty pothole I didn't see until it was too late, I was sure I would pop the front tube. But it just kept going, and that was about 150 miles ago, so I think it's fine. I've got to put it about 3 pumps worth of air into each tube every week to keep them at 100 psi, and I think that's pretty good.I've bought 4 so far and been impressed. I see no need to spend any more than what these tubes cost, as they've performed well so far.

life saver!
So i bought two of these and after what just happened on the San Francisco Bay trail i bought a third. My original tubes have already both gone flat once on each one so i know i can only patch them so many more times before they area liability. So i bought two of these and a third just now. They are practically identical to the stock tubes i have with my Vuelta XRP wheels but have slightly shorter stems which makes no difference realistically. I guess it never occurred to me in my bicycling over the past 2 years that i actually didnt have to fear getting a flat tire i could just bring spare tubes along and tire levers but now that i fixed a flat i feel far more confident in my ability to not be stranded 23 miles from my apartment. So i would highly recommend these tubes. I got the 18-23 and have had no problem in the past 6 miles of using them on the harsh roads here in Berkeley including cedar and sacramento streets. So maybe theres something wrong with the other sizes but the 18-23 ones work flawlessly so far. and they're 6$ for that cheap you can practically throw them away each time they get a hole.UpDate 3/12/13So I got a flat tire last night in Oakland/San Leandro. Im impressed this tube made it about 24 miles before getting a hole again. But I'm some what alarmed that it didnt last longer than that. I know the roads in Oakland are probably the worst paved roads in the country but i think maybe these tubes kinda skimped out on the rubber and thus are very thin and susceptible to punctures maybe more frequently. I ordered 3 of these and am not sure but hope i dont regret that decision. I hope these arent chinese junk but they might be. But it might also just be that i had bad luck.

Just put these on and liking them so far
I avoided getting these before because I thought the stems were too long, but I kind of liked having the extra length to grip onto when filling. I usually use Bontrager tubes because that's what my LBS has, but I've been dissatisfied with them lately. The Avenir tube fills more evenly and doesn't have the weird hernias the Bontrager tubes have. The thing I liked the most is that there is a white line on the tube that makes it easy to check that you're not twisting the tube. I just tried my first one so hopefully Amazon will let me update this review later. The only thing preventing me from putting 5 stars is that I just started using these.Update 1.5 years later: Upped it to 5 stars. They've been good to me.

Mixed Feelings In A Tube
First off, I bought this tube to try out if it would work after using Michelin Airstop Butyl Road Bike Tube (Presta Valve) for 4 times and each of them popped. So all I need is a tube that works and I came down to this Avenir's Threaded Presta Valve Tube. I just got this tube delivered and installed right away to see how it goes. When taking the tube out I realized how messy the tube was rolled up. I unrolled the whole tube and saw how uneven the tube was unlike Michelin's version. This might also create a flat but I hope it isn't that serious. After opening this box, I read the tube and it says 700/20-25c which was the wrong tube from what I ordered. This is what I got Avenir Premium Tube Presta Valve 700c Tube (700x20-25 27x1-1/8). Which is supposedly cheaper than what I bought and paid for. The tube was supposed to say 700/23-25c but as long as the tube works i'm fine with it. While installing the tube and inflating it a little, I realized the tube was a little too long to go around the wheel without folding it which can create a pinched tube. Again there is a possibility of a pinched tube causing a flat. I tried to spread the tube as even as I can so there is less of a fold as possible.Well that's about it. This tube isn't that great in quality as opposed to Michelin's tube but I kind of think that Michelin's tube is thinner to make it lighter while Avenir's tube is a bit thicker. And since I just got this tube I can't say much but I will update if the tube pops soon (Hope not). For people that wants to know what tire I use is Michelin Pro3 Race Tire. I was going to get Continental's Gatorskin or Continental Grand Prix 4000 S but they were either out of stock or too expensive.
