I would order next size bigger then normal size.
Not to happy seems to be a little under sized. Other then that it is high quality. I can't wear it though.

Works Well, Fits well, Good Quality.
Picked it up for my Nephew. Fit him well. The recoil pad and pocket in this vest worked well for the 100 round of Sporting Clays. Matches his Browning Shotgun.

This vest is NICE!
I first ordered this Browning Trapper Creek vest in size XL, but returned it because it was too tight in the midsection (more on size below). I'm glad I dug around a bit and found it in 2XL. I'm thrilled with this purchase! Both times I ordered, the color stated in the product description was listed as "Clay". It's a really nice brown color that works well with the black mesh and padded feature on the right breast (RH vest). But I should point out that the seller's photo didn't match the actual color or description - the photo showed it as a lighter tan color. I'm glad I rolled the dice and believed the description, because it's the brown color I received the first time, which is the color I was looking for. (Disclaimer: I'm color deficient but I usually don't have problems with earth tones.)Description also doesn't do this vest justice. Per the description, it has ample rear packets for storing spent cartridges, two large front pockets on each side for boxes of shells, and the elastic sleeves for the two shells on the breast, plus the recoil pad pocket inside. But what wasn't clear to me (bonus!) is the additional outside breast pocket about the size of a cigarette pack that I see using for ear plugs, and a zippered inside pocket on the bottom left. In addition, the quality and the feel of the material is really nice. Most importantly, the 2XL fits well on me. I'm 6'2", 235 lbs. For size comparison, I just purchased a new suit (jacket size 48L), and this 2XL vest fits exactly the same as the jacket did off the rack - which means there's really no extra room in the midsection to accommodate my 48.5" belly (no judgement, please). For me, this fits like a glove.Folks, I don't write reviews very often, and I haven't worn this vest on the range yet. But, based on my initial observations, I like this vest so much I thought it was important to share my thoughts. This appears to be a great vest that I expect will last me for years to come.

Shooting vest
Fits snug. You may need a size larger to fit. The recoil pad pocket needs a Velcro closer to hold the recoil pad in place. When removing the vest, the pad will easily fall out if it is not held upright. Other than that, it is a very nice vest.

Great vest and a good value
I really like this vest! I am 5'11" and about 230 and this XL vests me nicely, although on the verge of being too big. I wanted it just a little bigger than normal - I typically buy a Large for shirts - so I could wear this with a jacket if needed. The two main pockets have a button on the outer edge that allow for a larger capacity, which is nice. The two secondary (front) pockets could be used for accessories or a variety of loads on the sporting clays course. There is a two-shell loop on the left chest in case you need a bonus shot or have a bad primer during a round. Below that is a pocket for shooting glasses or sunglasses. The waist has an adjustment strap on each side so you can snug it to fit properly. There is also a hidden zipper pocket on the inside for ear protection, club card, etc. The right shoulder is a full-length light pad, so it shouldn't snag when raising your gun. The large back pouch is mesh and accessible from either side, good for water bottles, empties, or an extra layer of clothing. There is a slot on the inside of the right shoulder for Browning's recoil pad. I wasn't going to purchase a recoil pad (sold separately) but then changed my mind and just ordered one. I like the sage/black color because I feel like I could wear it at the clays course or during dove / pigeon hunts. Lastly, there is a double-ended zipper that allows the vest to be opened from either the top or the bottom. This allows you to unzip from the bottom-up when you sit down so your shells don't fall out of the pockets. I'll be interested to see how this holds up after being washed but my early impressions are nothing but positive.

Good value for the price.
This is my second Browning Butler Creek vest. The first one was replaced for cosmetics - it faded and was rather dirty after about 3 summers, but was not worn out. Gotta keep up apperances at the range!I like the recoil pad pocket - and use a Browning recoil pad. The inside zippered pocket is useful. The mesh is cool enough to wear in the summer heat. (Triple digit Texas heat) Fits as expected.A good vest for summer trap, skeet and sporting clays.
