I've been buying this since 2008 but from iHerb. The past several years I've been checking Amazon and iHerb prices and Amazon has been a little cheaper. I also don't have to pay for shipping with Amazon. Pro tip: this product is not supposed to be over 76 degrees so I buy this in winter for the whole year so it's not spoiled through shipping and delivery.

This product has a very high concentration of good bacteria and a good balance of the different bacteria species to improve overall digestive function with an affordable price. Other products can be added to improve the growth of these good bacteria, such as iInulin and other prebiotic fibers, and they also help improve good bowel function.

I recommend this because I noticed I digest food better if I take it. Be careful, as with any acidophilus, it can upset the stomach. I only had it do that once, so I'm happy. It doesn't take away all my digestion problems, but I do notice a substantial difference. You have to take it every day for a few days to really notice it working well. I recommend you take enzymes as well if you are having digestive issues. Make sure when you receive it, it is in sent with cold packs. I ordered some once and they didn't do that, so I sent it back. Then, refigerate it when you get it. Forget Activia, this is better and without the sugar and artifical chemicals.

This is a fantastic way to rebuild the essential flora in your gut. I suffer from S.I.B.O which causes a severe imbalance between the bacteria which grow in your small intestines vs that which grows in your large intestines. Since starting a regimen of one pill daily, my gut has never felt better. Intestinal gas has minimized, diarrhea has all but vanished and regularity has returned. A doctor recommended this product to me. Said to use it for 30 days then switch over to something called "New Chapter Probiotic All-Flora" to maintain the fix that the Jarrow does. Once every 6 months or so, spend a month taking these again. I would recommend this product to anyone! Couldn't be happier!

As near as I can tell about this probiotic is that it's most probably NOT worth the money. I've tried it multiple times for it's ability to aid in improving my digestion. It's touts the beneficial strains it has to do that (BB536) but I'm doubtful that it has had a positive effect on my digestive system.
