We have 3 fancy rats that are about 4 months old, and we've been handling them and playing with them in a playpen. But they're still skittish and don't come out of their cage willingly. But this neck fleece thing is amazing. I put it on and then pull open the top edge, and all three clamor to get in! Then I can hang out on the bed with the ratties, and they romp and play all over the place. I usually take off the fleece and lay it in the crook of my arm, and it's the "safe space" when anyone gets startled. It's taken our free roam time to the next level. Our girls are much more attached to us via this "fleece neck ring thingy." Just FYI- it's the same width all the way around, so it looks like some sort of clown collar that sits on the shoulders. It's not flattering, but who cares!?

My chinchilla loves this thing! He doesn't really like to sit still and be held, but after a few days of trying this out he now loves it! I can't even pick it up to move it without him getting excited and wanting to come out and run around in it. He will run laps around my neck in the cuddler before he calms down and snuggles. The only thing that could be good or bad depending on temperature is that the fleece does get really warm like a scarf, especially with my chinchilla in it. I'm not sure how I will feel about wearing it in the summertime, but for now since its getting colder, i'm loving it!He does sometimes try to nibble at the fabric though so i'm worried about him chewing a hole through it at some point, but that is a concern with all fabric things I get for him.

My Shorkie loves being close to me and this is wonderful because my hands are freed up. I love holding her so this is great!
