Buy the right SD card
I used these cameras for over a year and all of a sudden they stopped recognizing the SD card. I have six cameras and only one can read the card. Because the cameras are outdoors and on top the second story, it’s not very safe for us to access to remove and reinsert the card (as I’ve read on the support).I reached out to customer support to explain all of this and what they ended up telling me was SanDisk cards aren’t compatible, and that I need Kingston brand cards. Because I don’t want to fuss with potentially a new card not working, I’m going to opt for a new camera instead. I just need to look for a more reliable brand.Regarding the quality of video, it’s pretty good, but I would say the motion detection isn’t great. There were times where I know it should have captured something and it didn’t. Also the night vision is ok, not 100% sure if it’d be the most helpful if someone broke in and we had to provide video or pictures to the police, which is what we got this for.

works until it does not
Worked great for almost two year and now the picture quality during the day time is horrible. Has a purple tint and spotty due to being used outside as its intended to be used.

Good camera at a good price
I have to admit first that the primary reason I am switching to EZVIZ from Ring is that Ring is working more as a partner with law enforcement than they are as a partner to the customers who have been loyal to them. Any video that a client puts on the Ring system is available to law enforcement without question. There is no need for justification, etc.My issue with that? What happens inside or outside of my home is my business and no one else's unless I make it so. The old "If you weren't doing something wrong you shouldn't care..." montra was never mine, ever. Given what has happened to President Trump at the hands of political fanatics in the halls of the "sacred" law enforcement agencies and based upon my own experience training these guys, when these guys can whistle up movements to and from my home just because they want to...I'm done. With EZVIZ on the other hand, you put any captured videos on the on-board mini-SD card, not on any "cloud" that can be hacked. Even if someone were to steal the SD card, the videos are encrypted. You can still watch live from anywhere in the world, talk via two-way, listen and do everything else any Ring camera will do, but privately. Easy to install in about 2 minutes and the cameras come back after a power failure which is not always the case with Ring. Better connection with your router than Ring ever dreamed about and impervious to weather. These need a power source, so you'll need to either have an outlet within reach or have one installed (I've done both, no problems.).EZVIZ cameras blink on almost as soon as you ask it to show you what's happening, meaning EZVIZ equipment doesn't suffer from the infernal lag time that Ring has suffered from since day one. So, you won't have to call Ring support only to be told that any issues are your fault, not theirs.I have many of the EZVIZ products and recommend them over anything that Ring has. MY next EZVIZ product will be the doorbell and then I'll wash my hands of Ring.

Confusion regarding power supply/internet connectivity
Seems that some prospective buyers and the company selling this product are confused (likely due, at least in part, to the language barrier) about types of connectivity for outdoor security cameras. Regarding power supply requirements: obviously, all security cameras need an electrical supply to operate, which can be accomplished by either using an AC power supply (provided by plugging the unit into an 110 volt electrical outlet), or by an internal (DC) battery (does not apply to this particular unit). Regarding internet connection: the unit needs to be connected to the internet either by a (most commonly used) wireless connection or by a wired (ethernet) connection.
