Weston Home Nottingham Metal Spindle Bed

Was it worth $300? No. Would I buy it again? No. I shouldn't have bought it after only seeing the one picture listed. I got a bed with many parts and slats. The finish was different than pictured. I love the style of the headboard and footboard. We spray painted it to a oil bronze finish and I like it much better. It doesn't feel sturdy or solid. Maybe I got an old stock or return. I'm going to try it out and if it comes to it, I can buy a sturdy frame for $50 and attach the headboard and footboard to it.

Very nice bed frame. Looks just like the photo. It is dark brown in color and looks like a nice vintage bed. I will say that the only complaint I have is that the headboard portion does not lock down into the frame itself. If you pull up on the headboard, it slides up and down and is not anchored in the bottom portion. I don't know that this really matters, but just fyi. I did see this same bed for sale at my local Big Lots, but it was the same price, so no big deal. But if you want to see it in person, you might check there and see if they have one.

OMG this thing is gorgeous. I can't believe the price was under $300! I like the fact that the metal tubes are larger diameter than most similar beds. I wanted a rustic look, not a dainty one. This is perfect. We bought it from Brookstone via Amazon. We did have one minor customer service issue - one of the plastic inserts in a leg (floor protector insert) was damaged. We contacted Brookstone/Amazon and they were able to get us the insert from their supplier. I think the supplier was overseas so it would have been very difficult for us to do it on our own. Very happy with purchase.

Pretty cute! Didn't take too long to set up, but I did have 4 people helping :)It's also good to have some extra tools on hand. The style is good, and it's sturdy. They only thing I was disappointed about was the finish. I was expecting more of a dark brass. It still looks nice, but it's just more of a satin-black finish.

This bed is a light weight metal bed. It would be perfect for a guest room. I bought it for my 5th grade sons room. He weighs 90 pounds. He was leaning over to pick a toy up off the floor and had his hand on the top of the footboard for balance. This was enough pressure to depress the top piece of metal until it was touching the second vertical piece of metal and bend the footboard out to an angle. I am 44 and this is one of the worst experiences with furniture I have had. It is light weight, hollow and the frame is not steady. The metal headboard and footboard have a larger looking tube width which makes it look good but is the beds down fall. To get that look the metal is very thin.

The bed frame is really light and slides on the hardwood floors every time we get in it (and we're pretty small people). It's not as sturdy as I was expecting.

I have had this bed for almost 3 years. I still love how it looks, but it squeaks SO BAD. I have to tighten all the screws way too often. Just my 50 pound dog walking across the mattress will cause creaking. I would not buy this again and will be replacing it soon.

Although it is lighter, in weight than I anticipated, it does seem sturdy, and was fairly easy to assemble.My wife is happy with this bed, therefore I am happy with it also.
