I read a lot of the amazon reviews before buying this and was a bit scared as sone said it was awful, but my pond was pea green and my old filter wasnt up to the job, it kept losing flow every 2 weeks. So i took the plunge.And im so pleased i did.Ignore the bad reviews this is a high quality product. Maybe the bad reviewers didnt securely connect all the hoses or didnt use the rubber o rings or clios supplied. But for me this is working better than expected.Just a few days after installation, i can see the bottom of my pond! A miracle! I also installed a new little waterfall with foam filter at same time as installing the new filter, and im happy with that too as it captures all the green stuff before releasing clean water into the pond.The auto clean function is cool and fun.., just switch it on and it pumps black water for a few mins before running clear… and i use that water for the surrounding shrubs so nothing is wasted. I think in a couple of weeks my pond will be even clearer, so am excited (i know, i should get a life perhaps). Only worry is that clear water will favour those pesky herons, but that is not the filter’s fault.Anyway, as you can see im a big fan, just make sure you plan the installation and measure it all out before connecting everything up.

I had the older unit of this which had developed a crack in the body so bought this to replace. The new auto clean function makes things alot easier

It’s early days but the pump and filter look like a quality product and they were easy to setup

When it was first installed it worked really well but I never heard the alarm when the backwash was complete, the manual says it should take one minute but maybe I'm not running it long enough, would love to know if anyone else knows the answer.The manual says it needs to be taken apart half way through the season and that's when my problems started. I would recommend take photos before taking the filter apart and cleaning them because when you need to reassemble it's very important to do this correctly, double and even triple check. I also greased the main o ring and the sides with Vaseline which made the whole thing sit well into the filter chamber plus it made the catch easier to fasten which in turn created the pressure for the water to flow. I was carful not to get the Vaseline any where near where the water flows so it doesn't contaminate the pond. This in turn should make it easier to take apart.Working well again now after a lot of kerfuffle. I've had it for 6 months and pleased with the water quality and I thought it was good value compared to the other popular brands. I had a Laguna filter before and that run all through the winter and lasted for years and the only thing wrong was the backwater flush handle broke so this brand I have now will be just as good hopefully.

we have had our other filter and pump for so many years we have upgraded the pond to a larger one and wow im so pleases we got this pump and filter it,s so easy to use it cleans itself you only have to give it a good clean once a your we are that pleased with it im going to order another one to replace our old one would definitely recommend this 5*****
