Kitchen Basics Dish Drying Mat - Red - 16"x 18"

I have spent four times as much on other drying mats so I was thrilled to find these at such a terrific price and ordered several of them. I have some advice for making them look as good as possible and making them truly reversible. If you're as picky as I am, the large white tag sewn onto each of them is just ugly so to be reversible in my eyes, that tag must be removed. I tried a few different ways until finding the best in my opinion. Use a seam ripper to do the job. Start in the middle of the tag where it's sewn by separating the sides. This leaves threads that if pulled will completely unravel so here's the trick to stop this so you won't even see the spot. Just snip the threads in the middle, this leaves two on each side, and gently tie each side with a double knot and snip off the excess. Now the mats are exactly the same on each side and you don't see where the tag was. Also, due to being folded, the mats are horribly wrinkled but this will smooth out completely with just about one day of being laid flat. Now you have mats that look pretty much identical to the ones sold for three to four times as much! Oh, and these are the size of the ones often labeled "jumbo", not the small ones it takes so many to do the job.

Yes, many of us still hand wash and dry our dishes every single day. I used a regular kitchen towel folded on the counter for air drying my dishes for years, but I love the new breed of dish drying mats like this one from Kitchen Basics. Perfect for what I needed it for. I put it on top of my mini fridge and used it as a bar mat. I had spilled beer on top of my mini fridge before and it was not fun cleaning it up. I spilled beer again, this time on top of this mat and it absorbed about 1/4 can with no problem. I threw it in the washer and it came out like new.

I'm not using this as a dish drainer. I have one of those things for drying baggies, a tree-like thing will all the arms on it. But I was afraid I was going to cause damage on the narrow shelf (counter) in front of my sink that goes all the way across. I cut this in half and put one piece on that shelf where the baggie tree stands, and then I placed the other piece on the counter directly below it where the bags also drain. It looks nice and it's working so well.I think this would be a very good dish drainer.

I bought 2 of these to replace another brand I'd bought before so that I could wash one and have a spare. The other brand I bought was also not-reversible. In comparison, this product feels thinner and less durable as the other, but I expect it will work fine as a drying mat. Plus, the reversibility means I won't have to wash it so often!

Perfect for dishes. Just starting using. I'm concerned it is thinner. Questioning how long it will last. Light grey color does show any watermarks or stains easily. Have to wash and keep clean or mildew will grow on it. I avoid getting a lot of water soaked into it.

This kitchen mat is perfect. The red is actually red even though it might look a little darker and you could mistake it online for burgundy

Wish I could have gotten a larger size. Only use it under dish rack with a water catch. Water does splash from sink and sprayer sometimes, I wipe water off the counter and prop the end up to dry. No problem with color running.

Vivo en un apartamento pequeño y no tengo un espacio para secar mis trastes, afortunadamente genero pocos sucios al día y con ésta microfibra puedo colocar todos de una. Su tamaño se me hizo ideal ya que cabe perfecto en una mesa pequeña que tengo o sobre el refrigerador que tengo.Me gusta su grosor y dimensiones, lo recomiento ampliamente. Llegó en dos días y sin ningún problema.

Es más grueso de lo que pensé, absorbe bien y no se mancha ni llena de sarro como los escurridores convencionales, simplemente lo lavas y lo dejas secar y queda listo para seguirlo usando, súper practico en cocinaspequeñas.

Este tapetito de microfibra es sumamente útil donde lo pongas en la cocina, aumentas la superficie de escurrido de trastes, aún si lo colocas bajo el escurridor funciona bien, ademas puedes usar los dos lados, muy útil y a buen precio.
