After reading the reviews I brought this to cut my sons hair as well as to use on myself for a trim twice a week. The design style is great, feels lightweight and great to hold. The trimmer works well with the attachments for cutting longer hair. To trim my facial hair with no attachments it’s awful to use! The blades are not sharp enough to cut, and I’ve only used it twice out of the box. I was there going over the same spot over and over again, I simply was not impressed! I went over the hair with my old Babyliss trimmer and that was cutting hair even though I went over it with the Braun. Some reviews here on amazon say the blades a very sharpe, so I am now wondering if a) the blades are not sharpe or b) not setup correctly. I’d expect these to be sharpe and setup correctly out of the box.

Was great until this week has suddenly started losing its charge after 1 use then has to be charged over night to get one more use out. I only have a goaty beard so it's not much use 1 trim then flat. I will be contacting Amazon to try and claim a replacement. My wife got it for me for Christmas so 5 months use is very poor.Jan 2019 : Amazon replaced the broken one, last summer I have used the new one for approx. 6 months and it developed a similar problem , it ran flat so I charged it over night and it is as dead as a DODO.MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY ONE GET A DIFFRENT MAKE ALL TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!

I bought this trimmer 2 years ago.Good points: it has a wide range of attachments which cater for a variety of different requirements. I easily found the lengths for different parts of my beard. It didn’t take long to be able to use it effectively. Battery life and charging times were in line with those advertised.A slight minor negative for me was the occasional missing of a hair or two, especially at the corner of my jaw. It was easy though to rectify this by removing the head and simply using the blades to finish a trim.Had I reviewed the trimmer 18 months ago I would have awarded 4 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.However, fast forward 18 months and things quickly went downhill, when a fully charged battery let me down half way through a trim. Fortunately an hour on the charger gave enough power to finish the trim, but since then the battery has deteriorated much more. It can take up to 18 hours for a full charge, but the battery can hardly hold it for more than a day. I would certainly expect anything produced by Braun to to last much longer than a couple of years.With that in mind my rating cannot be more than 1 star ⭐️.

Don't know why some of the reviews are poor with this.Who's complaining about a trimmer having hair in it. Do you guys ever experience the barber shop? Because if you keep an eye on things the bloke/lady cutting your hair will constantly clean off the hair trimmers all the time. Not sure why you think someones going to vacuum your cutter as you go. Remove the grader, and blow on it. Jobs done move on.I paid a 1/3 of the price for the item to note.But I would of paid full price for this either way.Does the job has all the bits, even through in razor, no good to us beardo's but good overall to have it.

I bought this 2 years ago and it worked quite OK for this period, except the fact that the battery life was getting shorter with time. But if that was the only issue, it would be OK for me. Suddenly, the power button doesn't turn it on, even when fully charged. The only way for me to make it work is if I plug it to the charger and then press the power button, unplug it from the charger while working and then use it. If I ever made the mistake to turn it off while using it, then I had to do the whole process again. Not happy.
