This oil filter performs admirably, effortlessly attaching and detaching with a secure seal. While I don't universally recommend it, I've personally found that after filtering the oil through this product, the results are impressive. The performance is consistent with expectations, making installation a breeze. I've been relying on Fram filters for numerous years and have consistently experienced satisfaction with their excellent quality and value. Trust in Fram products has been a constant throughout my years of driving.

You can pay more for designer filters, but I have been using these for years and have two pickups with one at 430.000 miles and one with 374,000 miles.My take is “Don’t fix it, if it ain’t broke!. I use Castrol synthetic oil, but use your favorite synthetic oil.The grip surface makes it easier to put on and take off.I use it on F150 pickups and the grippy surfact makes it much easier to put on these hard to reach filters!

It's my go to filter for years. Gets the job done and I prefer it over the cheaper filters for a couple more bucks. worth it.

This was a defect in the Fram filter. It was not the seller's fault, so I rated it 5 stars. If there was a breakdown of seller and product, I would go with a 5 and a 2. I installed a new Fram oil filter and it was leaking badly when I fired up the vehicle. It was leaking at the seam where the tin can meets the base. This was NOT a gasket leak and I did NOT have the dreaded double gasket syndrome. I tried tightening it with a wrench to no avail and removed it to examine the sealing surface. That all looked good. One thing good about having bought it on Amazon was the return process. They are issuing a refund. The aggravation and extra quart of oil is all I am out. I had to tell someone and my wife wouldn't listen.

The filter itself seems to be of high quality, and is rated for a long service life. I have switched from K&N to Fram Ultra on both of my cars now, as they seem to be a better value, at similar quality.Per manufacturer recommendations (see your owners manual), some vehicles now recommend one filter change per 2 oil changes. Especially for this type of application, I highly recommend a Fram Ultra filter.I did like the 1" hex not on the K&N filters, however, this is the only con I had when switching over from K&N to Fram Ultra. The K&N filters may take more pressure before bursting the case (how often does that ever happen anyway!), but the Fram Ultra seems to be similar in filtration and quality, and is less expensive.I only use high quality filters, and Fram Ultra is my new favorite.
