Good product
Was looking for a battery pack. But could only get the adapter for my Canon Powershot, which served the purpose. The adapter has been useful in letting me pick up a few skills on manual photography without wasting money on batteries.Used to get shock sensation when camera is connected to the cable. Not sure if it was due to improper earthing in my house though or the quality of the product.

HiThe Item I have purchased, been labeled : FOR MOST POWERSHOT CANON CAMERA,sIt is not significant and most is a very vast and confusing description.My camera is SX 160 IS........so it does not work with that ACK800 and there is no place in the camera for getting engaged with ACK800.

Canon AC adaptor
This is definitely a good thing to have if you often have your camera on for extended periods of time, as when you are taking multiple photos, or showing photos to friends, or on your TV or computer, since it saves batteries.I do have one complaint about it, though. It is not until you open the package and read the instructions that you realize that you also need a DC coupler for it. This meant checking the Canon website to determine compatibility, and then searching for a seller of the correct coupler. Luckily, I found the correct coupler being sold by an Amazon retailer, and was able to buy it at a reasonable price.

Just as I had expected.
My Canon PowerShot A550 runs perfectly on this thing. Who needs batteries when you can just use the wall outlet?

A Must Have Item
Even if you have rechargeable batteries and a charger, this is a good item to have. If you are like me you are going to spend a lot of time attaching your camera to your computer and trying new and interesting things with your pictures. The AC adapter simply allows me to not worry about running down my batteries and I don't need to keep recharging my batteries often so when I am out taking pictures I always have an extra set of batteries that are fully charged. The only con I can see and this is not with the product but with the description is that this adapter also works with the Canon A550 which isn't listed even though this is the exact adapter recommended by Canon for the A550.
