This item does just what it advertises: it takes a signal from a device that has composite video and audio (the three RCA outputs, red and white audio and yellow video) and converts into a signal carried on coax with an F connector. That's great for enabling you to use an older TV with newer electronic gear (DVD players, game consoles, etc). For that application, it's superb. Seems to be well made.Be aware, though, that any meddling with the signal will degrade it a bit. For a game console or old VHS tapes, that may not be a big deal. Just understand that when you cue up a breathtakingly beautiful DVD like 'Days of Heaven', the picture won't be as crisp as on the same DVD played on a TV with direct composite inputs. That's not the fault of this converter; it's inherent in any conversion process to have a little signal degradation anytime you convert a signal to a different format.Also, if you're hooking this up to a TV which has a cable box inputting into to it, you do NOT need an A/B switch. I bought one thinking I would need one, but I don't: you run the output of the cable box into this gizmo, run your red/white/yellow RCA cables into this gizmo as well, and there's a common 'out' which takes a coax cable with F connectors to the TV. By turning either the cable box on, or turning the other device on, you effectively can switch between one and the other without the need for an A/B switch. Of course, you CAN use a switch if you so desire.

I received a tv from a friend and when I got it home low and behold it only had a coax hookup. So I bought this product and it works amazingly well. I use it for my DVD player and I couldn't be happier. I had absolutely no problem hooking it up. I just plugged it in and it was great.

works as advertised. use it to back feed CCTV DVR output to TV's in the house on CH 3 if you are on a cable system it will not work but for a standard Antennae feed system it works well.

My nephew broke the back of my mothers tv and I purchased this to replace the broken part. It works great.

The picture of it item in the description is nothing like the item I received. In addition, the description clearly states "connects RCA and s-video input", but there was no s-video input on the device I received, only RCA.

got it fast works well it kick but better then the other one i got that went out on me
