Duracraft 24hDD TEC16E Specifications Dehumidifier, 16 Litre

The first time I ordered, the product was faulty and only worked for a few seconds at a time. I sent an email to Amazon and the next day they said they'd collect and replace the item for free. The replacement was delivered the day after they replied (a Sunday, no less!) and was in perfect working order. I was able to arrange the day I wanted the faulty one collected and it was a straightforward, easy procedure. I cannot fault the excellent customer service in this regard and the dehumidifier itself works perfectly. Doesn't get overheated even after hours of being on and while I can't speak for it's long-term effects, so far the amount of water collected and the ease of emptying and replacing the tray when full means I have high hopes for getting rid of the damp problem which has affected my room for two years now! The manufacturers and sellers certainly know what they are doing, many thanks to them!

This is my second de-humidifier by Duracraft.Having had no issues with the one I purchased five or so years ago (still going strong) , I thought I would purchase another to finally rid the house of our pesky condensation problem.No longer works as it over heated and the cut out obviously didn't cut in.It worked well and was removing more moisture than I had appreciated.There is a few minor grumbles, the de-humidifier does not automatically start once the collection tray is emptied and replaced. It also drips far longer than my previous model hence, you should leave it to drip for a good few minutes before removing the drip tray.

This worked well for a couple of years and then it broke suddenly for no apparent reason...after being well cared for and cleaned regularly. Not what you'd expect from something that cost £145! We spent more in the hope of a product that would last longer.

Quite heavy and well made as it has a compressor in the base. Does not seem to be extracting as much water as my previous desiccant model. Does not actually switch off when the desired humidity level is met - the compressor may switch off but the fan continues to run 24/7 ! So that is why I have deducted two stars. Wont be buying this model again.

I was looking for a powerful dehumidifier and did lots of research on some very popular models sold at Amazon. It seems that some models with compressors cannot handle when the temperature drops below 18 degree Celsius, some models tend to break down after one year, while some desiccant models consumes lots of energy. It is a shame that at Amazon product description generally does not provide the information such as rate of energy consumption, so I ended up searching the details about different dehumidifiers on the Internet including power consumption or operating temperature, and I found this Duracraft Dehumidifier. It can work from 5-35°C and consumes 280 W, and it comes with a 2-year guarantee! So far the machine works fine and seems very powerful. Not particularly noisy as I mainly leave it in the conservatory during daytime. I have it on for 8-10 hours a day, and it's very effective in extracting humidity particularly from small spaces such as bathroom. I will see how much it adds to the energy bills; otherwise, overall I'm very satisfied with this product.

Received the unit on time, the packaging was damaged but this was explained at the time of order and explained the very good price. the machine was new and unused and did the job I needed it to do when it was used for the first time.

Just arrived after ordering on Sunday 17th September, fantastic delivery time and well packaged. Good instructions and it is now in place and hopefully getting rid of lots of water, the flat is small so it should work well.Humidy control is good too.The unit looks smart and compact size makes it idea for a small area.

Terrific while it was working but packed up after two years, which is not really a long enough lifespan for £140.
