iPhone Xs Max Case, SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Series Premium Hybrid Protective TPU and PC Clear Case for iPhone Xs Max Case 6.5 Inch 2018 Release (Black)

Compared to the holster based Unicorn Beetle Pro case, this is smaller in every dimension--narrower, shorter, and noticeably thinner. The other case has a hard shell with a rubberized outer cover that you attach to the shell. This just appears to be a single composite piece, where the clear back is attached to the single side/top piece. So this is definitely easier to remove from the phone. Also, there is no cover for the lightning port here and no flimsy plastic screen cover and no kickstand. With or without a screen cover, I do recommend a glass protector because I know from experience that you can drop your phone on an uneven surface and contact the screen. I don't see any distance with this one, so you may want to consider the other if you are like me and have dropped your phone a few times. Just today I dropped my 7 Plus in its beetle holster case while walking past my kitchen island and it drawer was open just enough to knock the phone out of my hand and onto the porcelain floor. The glass does look more shatter resistant than the X, but you will see it is not unbreakable.Update 2: With a screen protector on, I see that this case is compatible, with a slight gap between the case and the cover. Also, this case is compatible with a wireless charger, namely,  Seneo (Upgraded) Wireless Charger, Qi Certified 7.5W Fast Wireless Charger Stand Compatible with iPhone X/8/8 Plus, 10W Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note 9/8/5 S9+/S9/S8+/S8 (with QC 3.0 Adapter) . Lastly, since this does not have the polycarbonate hard shell, I am guessing that means this case does not have quite the same degree of drop protection as does they Pro series cases. This case is 1 full oz lighter than the Pro case. So it seems you are getting a tradeoff of lower cost, lighter weight, and slimmer profile vs. higher cost and more protection. I may opt to replace this with a Pro series, given the crazy cost of repair for this phone.

I got mine 3 days after ordering it here in amazon. First impression is, hey, it looks nice. Great price for what it is and other that the back plastic looking like jelo, it does not look cheap at all.I put it on my phone and noticed some bubbles showing in the back only to realize I forgot to remove the protective film from the packaging. All is well after I removed that.The case fits nicely. Not too tight so putting it on takes a little effort but not too loose that it slips off. It is just right.As for the feel of it. It feels sturdy, and the edges definitely gives you some confidence that it will protect the phone if you ever drop it.The back though like another reviewer said, is a bit thin but there are raised areas that should acts as bumpers should your phone fall flat on the back.I really appreciate the this profile because the XS max is big enough for my medium sized hand. I do not need any added width.The only concern I have is that the opening for the charging port has kind of sharp edges and although it doesn't scratch, it still hurts a bit if you hold the phone the wrong way. Thus the 1 star deduction because a 5 star item shouldn't have anything we can complain about.In summary, I believe it is a great bargain. I have not seen how much it will protect my phone from a drop but it feels like it will protect just as much or better than the best out there.I just wish I got the black instead of the green.

I got this case just in time to put it on my black iPhone XS Max that arrived yesterday. For reference I bought the blue case. The case looks and feels nice on the phone. It is slightly bigger than a minimalist case, but not excessive. The lips all around are large enough to provide drop protection on uneven surfaces. I wouldn’t suggest dropping the phone on large rocks, but it should be safe from most smaller debris. Even the camera has deep enough cutouts to be protected. That said, I have not dropped it so I can only say that it appears to provide ample protection.The cutout for the silent switch is deep but large enough that I can work the switch easily (man’s fingers). Buttons are about normal stiffness for an iPhone case, they require more force than naked buttons but not excessive.The black is translucent allowing the Apple logo and iPhone title to be visible. It probably wouldn’t work to put a Popsocket, etc. on the back as there isn’t a large enough flat area. Most of the back is a dull finish so I’m hoping it won’t show scratches. Only time will tell however as it is polycarbonite.If there is any issue at all, the case meets the rounded edges of the screen and dust seems to collect there. Even the short amount of time I have used it, I have noticed white dust around the edges collected from my pockets. I’m not sure other cases would be any better on a black phone, however.I do not have a Qi charger yet so I have no idea if it affects charge speed. It is not supposed to.

Bought some screen glass protectors to go with the case and the case still leaves a gap all the way round also think I should of gone with the green or blue as the black one is just transparent makes it all a bit dull don’t think I’ll be using it for long

I bought this case for my daughters new phone. Seemed ok. She dropped her phone and the screen was perfectly fine. Took off the case to check and it COMPLETELY SMASHED THE BACK OF THE PHONE. Did NOT protect it whatsoever. Very very VERY disappointed. Such an expensive phone to be instantly damaged, whilst thinking it was protected.

This is a high quality protection option for your investment. I am an avid believer in the products of Supcase.
