I don't workout without these calf sleeves - they are my fav's!
BodyI tend to workout a lot and I have tried many brands of leggings in the past (CEP Adidas Nike 2XU) so I think I'm a really good judge of calf compression sleeves.FIRST: You better believe they are tight and you might want to get a bigger size if you you haven't used compression sleeves before or if you are sensitive to it. I checked out the negative reviews (I always do that to see whats wrong with a product) and they are ALL about the sleeve fitting small and a tight fit. Really? It literally says that all over this info page and I wonder if people are even reading what is written here AND if they are measuring or guessing? Believe me, these are 100% premium quality and are as good or better than any of the half dozen brands I have personally tried plus they are a great price.SECOND: I find I like them for certain thing, and LOVE them for others.I like them for running and cycling but for me, I would only use the Calfies for a shorter run like 5 miles or less. Any longer and I find them much better for the active recovery rather than the actual exercise.I LOVE them for crosfit, my weight circuit, hiking and recovery as I said above. So far that's all I have been able to try them for and I can't wait to wear them on my next triathlon next year.Pro's:-They take the pain out of shin splints.-Help my legs feel like I have fresh muscles.-Take away that achy, heavy feeling (no drugs!!!).-Swelling and inflammation is gone in no time without the ice bath thank you very much!-Definitely help my body heal strains and leg cramps faster.-Tighter than the other brands I have so this is my #1 choice for recovery - no question.Con's:-NO WAY these are going on wet skin, hello swimmers & sweat-ers.-They can be tricky to get on but they have a user guide and videos to help, so not a big deal.-When they say not for the plus size user, I believe it. A "large" friend at work saw them and begged me to let him try them on, so I did and it was really tough. I think his calf size was a bit too big for my size but the real problem was bending over long enough to get them on, it was just too difficult. These are definitely for athletes.THIRD: The customer service has been amazing, I'm blown away! I have received emails from Tuff Togs to make sure everything is ok, the calf sleeves come with a user guide which actually had a few tips I had never tried before and when I did contact them to double check the size, Dan replied back to me within hours and was super helpful. Based on the reviews from other people and my experience I can say these guys really stand behind their products. Dan told me they are launching a couple new products this year and I will be checking their store to see if they sell anything else I can use. I would rather give them my business knowing they sell quality and back it with great service than take a chance on a new business.I'm a customer for life!

Tight fit - They aren't kidding!
I have 16" calves so I ordered the XLs as per the chart. Wow. Putting them on the first time was a bit of a struggle. I wear several different kinds/brands of these lower leg, footless compression sleeves because of DVT in one leg to minimize swelling during exercise and on long airplane flights. I have to say these are the tightest ones I've had. Time will tell if they don't stretch over time but if they do, I'll revise my rating. But for now I have to say, these are the best. One thing you may want to consider though: Length. Look closely at the photos. I have average size lower leg length from ankle bone to the back of the knee joint. These sleeves do not reach all the way to the crease of the back of the knee and they do not reach all the way down to just above the ankle bone. So there is a gap at the top and at the bottom that is kind of concerning at first glance. But may not be an issue. Up to you and your lower leg length. FYI, once I put them on and pulled the XLs tight, they measure 12.5" bottom to top.

These calf sleeves are SUPER tight! More compression = less pain, faster healing, more leg comfort after running
I had no idea how much these things can help my calves and relieve my shin splint pain! I was told to try them out as I have just started running after 20 years of inactivity and sitting in front of a computer all day. Everyday pain was something I was trying to get used too, especially in my legs. The first mile of my daily runs took so long for my legs to warm up before I could get a good stride going. On the few days that I start my run discomfort free, I'll wait till I get home to put them on. Within minutes my legs feel great! After waiting a few minutes after that, my legs feel fresh again. I don't understand how it improves my circulation and why compression will make my legs feel so good, I am just so happy they work! The company also sent me a video via email prior to my product arriving to show me how to put them on and take them off. That was so great! Be sure to watch the video if you've never used stuff like this before. GREAT Customer Service!

I was skeptical about how well these would work when I ordered them, but after trying them I will be ordering another pair or two. I am an avid hiker and strained a calf muscle three weeks prior to buying these. Anytime I tried to hike or exercise the strain would become more painful. I had family coming into town that wanted to do a strenuous uphill hike so I thought I'd give these a try. I was able to hike 3.5 miles uphill and run down with no pain or problems. I continued to wear the Calf Sleeves for an hour and a half after the hike and when I took them off my calf better than it had that morning before the hike. I have continued to wear them when I hike or exercise and the calf strain and pain has not returned. I love the feel of these on my legs and I appreciated the video link in the email I received that explained the best methods to put these on and take them off.

My calves have never been happier - the best compression sleeves ever!
I have been wanting to try calf compression sleeves for quite a while based on my friend's recommendation. I was going to buy Be Visible which I think she had but I wanted something very tight so that they wouldn't lose effectiveness too quickly and so I went with these and I am so happy I did. Yes, they are tight but that is the point! As recommended in the description, I went up in size and that was perfect.I would highly recommend these compression socks if you have shin splints - works beautifully. These are not actually compression socks but rather compression sleeves for the calves which I much prefer because they are much much easier to get on AND I can wear my own perfect running socks that I love. I am also planning to get some as gifts for everyone in my family as stocking stuffers since everyone is either a workout enthusiast or travels a lot.Great customer service too!
