I bought this same cap on Amazon when I was in England for swimming. It worked well enough, I was happy enough with it. Well I moved back to the states and had to leave a bunch of stuff over there because it wasn't worth it to take it. Bought 2 of these. The one split immediately when I tried to put it on my head. This just leaks like crazy. I just got my hair twisted and it was totally messed up after I went swimming because my hair was soaked. Pointless to wear this thing. Seems like cheap Chinese knockoff junk...not worth the price.

I needed a large swimming cap to cover my rollers and a scarf when doing water aerobics because my hair was getting wet and hated having to wash my natural hair everyday!!!This cap has saved me. Doesn’t hurt my scalp to put on over rollers etc and most of all it keeps my hair dry. Other women from the class are planning to order this item as well.It truly is a blessing for me.DW Bellinger

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The cap split after 3 uses. I bought it because I have braids. I only do aqua fitness. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. It was a waste of money.

Well, I love the silicone material and how comfortable it is but water gets inside. I got the XXL but it also kind of falls off so I used another regular cap underneath to make it tighter. It helped keep it in place but water still gets inside. Im giving them a 2nd chance and just ordered the L one and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work out I’m going to return them and go with a different company because I’m not buying a 3rd one from them. Aside from this, I’ve used it for about 10 times at the pool and it hasn’t broken like over reviews here.

I bought this for my trip to Maui in August this year. I wanted to keep my hair free from the salt water. It ripped after the first time I used it! Really disappointed in this.

I have very very long hair and purchased this cap to accommodate my long braid. Wanted something that would not only fit the amount of hair but to keep it protected from being damaged by the pool chlorine water. Therefore the rubber material is what I wanted. The cap fit is pretty good but still not tight enough around my head to prevent water from seeping in while swimming and floating on my back. I will have to try to find a different one that is water tight. Three stars for the spaciousness but minus 2 stars for leaking.

Two thumbs down! I was so excited to try this swim cap. It leaked! What is the point of a swim cap if it doesn’t keep your hair dry? So disappointed.

Bought as a present for a friend with dreadlocks, she's always struggled to find a cap that would fit and stopped swimming as a result. With the Soul Cap, she is now able to swim and very happy with her purchase!!!

For people like myself, I have long braids past shoulder length, finding a swimming cap that keeps your hair dry and that fits has been an expensive process. Smaller, more mainstream caps, simply do not fit. The limited selection of larger caps do not keep your hair dry AND are branded horribly.I’ve had some time to play about with the Soul Cap and I must say, I am extremely impressed. It’s a product that’s been put together very well, branded well and packaged well. It was these three points that persuaded me to make this purchase over a similar but more expensive and tacky branded extra-large swimming cap also available on Amazon. The swimming cap is a perfect fit. There’s enough space and stretch in the cap to suit those with somewhat longer hair than myself and the cap can fall back for those with short hair than myself. If you have long and “voluminous” hair, the cap is a great fit.So, how does it perform? 
Well, I was surprised at how well the cap kept my hair dry. I have used many larger caps in the past, they either don’t fit or don’t keep my hair dry. The Soul Cap did both and did it well. There was a LITTLE seepage doing back-stroke but that’s to be expected - no extra-large cap will keep your hair completely dry. It’s also worth mentioning, I’ve started using the cap in the shower too to keep my braids dry. Far superior option that those cheaper disposable shower caps!In short, if you’re looking for a larger swimming cap to fit your long hair WITH volume, this is for you. Don’t waste your time with more expensive swimming caps on Amazon!A final note, I messaged Soul Cap in regard to future availability of colours. Their customer service has been astounding and has a very personal touch, I received a call back asking about my thoughts on a selection of new colours they have with the product designers. As mentioned in a previous review, they really do care about the product and their customers - I genuinely wish them all the success in the future.

I have (apparently) a large head and long, thick hair. I need a swim hat as I have coloured hair and swim regularly, so I was looking for a decent long term swim cap to keep out the chlorine and keep my hair dry. This cap, although a little pricy, therefore seemed ideal. I have worn it four times to give it a good go - Each time my hair has been soaking and water seeps into the cap. As there is space for your hair, there is also space for the water to collect as you swim too.If I wanted a water - resistant swim cap to wear whilst playing at only breast stroke or front crawl, this may well suffice as it would keep the splashes away - But for anyone doing back crawl or other back strokes it simply does not do the job it claims to.The customer service I have received though is top drawer. I have been emailed and offered a refund as the product has not worked for me. The seller has also asked for more detailed feedback to work out why I have been disappointed with the product, which I've been happy to provide. The sellers seem genuinely keen to make this product work

Used to wear regular swimming caps over my braids, but they would be too tight, and popped off a few times while i was in the pool, leaving my hair wet.With this swim cap, it easily covers my braids entirely. It's very comfortable and has a very snug fit. When I got into the pool I was able to fully submerge my head and my hair stayed completely dry with absolutely no water seeping in. This was the first time I was in the pool and could completely focus on my swimming without worrying about my hair getting wet, the cap popping off, or water seeping through the edges of the cap. Absoultely Brilliant Buy!!I thoroughly enjoy going for a swim now!! Love it!

I have locks down to by bottom which I normally wrap. I do not swim because as you can imagine it is difficult to wash and dry after. Now I don’t need to worry my locks were fully covered and kept dry. There was a tiny bit of leakage at the edge but nothing to worry about. I was really impressed.I got one for my sister who has weave down her back it was brill for her too so well done for a brilliant product which does what it is supposed to do.

I used the cap for the first time a few weeks ago. I recently had my hair braided in a bob, the first time in decades that I have had plaits. I do a lot of exercise so I was worried. Will the style stay neat? Swimming is just one of the exercises. I used the cap for snorkelling and swimming. It was great! It covered my forehead and ears comfortably and was fairly easy to put one. It was more difficult to get the snorkel mask over it; I had to adjust that. I think if I didn’t do duck dives, some of the ends might not have got wet. But duck diving is part of snorkelling. I could feel water coming into the cap around the edges at the sides and back and thought the cap was filling up. I snorkelled and swam for an hour. Surprise, surprise, only the ends at the back and sides were damp when I took the cap off; just a little damp at the tips. The rest of my hair was bone dry. That would never have been the case if it were a normal swimming hat. My hair would have been drenched. So, a good buy that does the job of keeping my hair 99% dry. I recommend this cap but it could be a little cheaper and more choice of colours please. I like fuchia as a colour, tangerine, ocean blue. I can’t comment on durability as yet.
