For those looking at maintaining their Amazon, this is a must have book. Well layout and graphics to show parts assembly and other electrical reference. Thanks much.

It's for the 120 series (aka Amazon) primarily.
Has overlap with 1800, but omits interior and accessories for same; doesn't differentiate well among early, middle and late 1800 models. Covers maintenance well enough but does not try to address issues of older cars, which of course they now are.

MANUAL WAS GOOD
I HAVE A 1969 P 1800-- THE MANUAL COVERS SOME OF THE P 1800---NOT AS MUCH AS I EXPECTED-I NEED A MANUAL DEDICATED TO THE P 1800

Very good book for the job
This provides nearly everything you could want in an enthusiast's manual. It is not the equivalent of a Volvo shop manual set, but it is very good. The graphics are very clear and complete.

Comprehensive diagrams, Systematic troubleshooting, in depth repair guides ...
Comprehensive diagrams, Systematic troubleshooting, in depth repair guides. All of this and more can be found in this book. Add in the quality binding and the usability of the layout, and there's no reason not to make this your go-to vintage volvo repair guide

Great for the 120, look elsewhere for the 1800
As many others have said, if you have a 120 series car, buy this. If you have a p1800, look somewhere else. This covers almost nothing on the p1800 that I have seen aside from whatever is shared with the 120 series. Good book though.

Amazon mainly
I bought this as I had recently purchased a Volvo P1800s I thought it would be useful to have, as no documentation came with the car, having used these guides before for other cars owned. Good for Amazon owners I am sure which the 1800s is based on but there are only a few additional pieces which relate to 1800s and most if not all pictures relate to Amazons. So it may be prudent to try to purchase P1800s workshop manual if possible.

A little dated, but a must for every Amazon owner!
While it's a little dated, with photos not always being clear and some of the descriptions are more focussed on picking the whole engine apart for a complete overhaul, rather than just looking for that oil leak. Having said that, a must-have for every Volvo Amazon owner and has helped me through more than one repair, and saved me lots of money on mechanic costs.

Cheapo quality, but the Haynes authorship is excellent as always.
A pretty cheap copy - don't expect original Haynes quality or reproduction. The paper is very light and the cover is already peeling its laminate after only a couple of uses. It's going to get grubby with use anyway, so It's not a big problem, but don't buy this for your lovely Haynes collection - buy it to fix your car!As a manual is lovely of course - this book was written in the days when Haynes could still afford to produce beautiful cut-away drawings of many of the parts and assemblies.

reprint of a Haynes manual rubbish
The book is not as good as the original print. the paper is rubbish the cover is delaminating already. I think it would be better to go to a boot sale and buy an original or look on Ebay
