Browning Dummy Training Tool

Super durable and makes for a great chew toy. Our pup is teething hard right now. He chews on both the string and orange portion. He is even learning to retrieve when we toss it in the yard.

Great for dog fetch training! Durable, floats in water, and the size is just right for medium to large breeds.

This is the 2nd one we have bought. The first lasted 3 years of aggressive use by 2 dogs. The color bleached out and the part where the cord attached broke. That was OK as we used it extensively. Bought a new one and the first day out the dog punched a hole thru the embossed Oval. It is paper-thin. It filled with water by the 5th retrieve. Either someone did not check the machine operation when this one was made or corners were cut in the amount of material put in. Not putting a ball on the end of the rope is a perfect example of making it cheaper.UPDATE. The replacement lasted one day of training before holes appeared in the oval where the dummy in thin. If Browning cannot make one like our first one the 2 replacements we bought to replace the 3 year used one, well the newer ones are just junk crap. We have decided to let the dog chomp it when not in the water. Fool me once shame on me, Fool me twice, SHAME ON YOU Browning training dummy.

I've bought other throw toys to use in the ocean. This one is by far the best. It's got a nice weight and is easy to throw (although my elbow hurt after throwing it for 2 hours). It makes a very visible splash when it hits, and is easily viewed (by me and my dog) once it's at floating in the ocean.I tested in at the dog park before using in the ocean. The dogs chewed through the cord. It was easily and cheaply replaced with cord I bought at Home Depot some time ago. Other throw toys have fixed cord that can't be replaced easily.I'm very happy with my purchase, in fact I've bought 2 more - one for another neighborhood dog and a small one which is easier to carry on hikes.

I want to start by saying I really like this dog toy. When I first got it I liked the color, size, and fact that it would make a great water or yard toy for the right dog. However, my dog is a super chewer and he chewed off the end of the toy where the rope is and we now just have the round part left. Disappointed the toy did not hold up better, but also the product of my dog's chewing habit. If you use it for training, put it away for super chewers. If you just use the toy for fetch, its a great toy!

Nice retriever toy. Unfortunately, I have two pit bulls who think they are labs. They’re great retrievers, but don’t have the concept of a soft mouth figured out. Consequently, they shredded this in about 30 minutes And it will no longer float

This is the 4th one we've purchased for our 2.5 yr old English lab. He's a strong swimmer and an even stronger chewer! He seems to see the orange colored one easier in the water. The white must not stand out as well. The reason for the fewer stars under durability is the ball on the end comes off almost immediately, it's small and could easily choke him. Two of them arrived yesterday to replace the ones he'd destroyed (they lasted 1 yr) and he went crazy with excitement! I've got great pictures of him retrieving them. We've tried other floats but this works really well for our labrador.

Just do not let a power chewer get a hold of this inside or any place they can be bored with this. It took all of 5 minutes for my Bernese to destroy the top part of the toy but both my dogs love playing with this outside and it holds up perfectly to this type of play. Given that is what it is designed for I can not fault this item or its manufacturer for the destruction of the rope end by my Bernese.
