Slick like iPhone + power/flexibility of Android. Best of both worlds!
Beautiful QHD display with bright and vivid colours. There are times when I am quite happy to watch my favourite TV shows via steaming using my phone (on a stand-up case) if I'm not around a television; the quality is that good! The two audio speakers really help too.The phone is large, but has an excellent screento size ratio, so you do benefit from the exceptional viewing quality and space. The S-pen works brilliantly and is very sensitive. Whenever I'm showing off my phone to friends, the S-pen is where I start - especially the remote camera button! The 4000mah battery lasts me a full day even after moderate to heavy use. There are rumours that the battery health degrades over time. This difficult to confirm or deny, but I haven't noticed anything to suggest there is any truth to this rumour. The camera is great and comes with lots of customisation options if you want to tailor the quality, but I'm not convinced that it's the best camera in the smartphone market.I've owned a range of smartphones over the years, and I've always resented manufacturer bloatware being installed over Android. But Samsung has really polished their apps; they appear premium, non disruptive and fun to use. They actually supplement the Android experience rather than get in the way.I bought this for £670 on Amazon which was an absolute bargain. In my case, the seller was Euronics Com. I also registered my phone with Samsung along with the IMEI/serial number and Samsung confirmed that the standard manufacturer warranty was intact. I would recommend that all buyers, whenever buying an expensive phone, check the warranty status directly with the manufacturer.

Mega features and performance
I spent a good few days working out which mobile phone to purchase recently (June 2019) and was leaning heavily towards the OnePlus 7 until I was reminded of the Note 9. It is near the end of its production now, soon to be replaced by the Note 10 which is due to be launched in August 2019. I remember admiring the Note 9 after it was launched last year but could not afford the circa £1000 asking price and also wasn't due an upgrade. Now that stock is being sold off cheaper before the arrival of the Note 10 I managed to purchase a black dual SIM version for only £535 which when you consider the spec is a great price for what is still a very well equipped phone. For me the extras you get over a more recently released mid range phone is the wireless charging, 4000mAh battery, S Pen with remote camera operation, WQHD screen which has amazing resolution, high quality stereo speakers and the general build quality is of a high standard. The camera is good, it's an improvement over my S8, the June software update brings Night mode to the camera and along with the already available Live Focus provide two really impressive features. The optical zoom I believe is 2x and then it's digital beyond that therefore the camera zoom is okay but not great. There are higher megapixel cameras available but that doesn't mean that the software is going to be as good or as nice as Samsung's. Cameras are very subjective down to the users preferences and I am happy with the camera on the Note 9 but having seen the performance of an S10+ and a Huawei P20 pro camera I know there is better out there if that's really important to you.The ovall package of the Note 9 for the outlay is in my opinion unbeatable.

One of the best phones you can buy for £600
If you can get this device under £700 I'd say it's the best phone you can get period. I've owned a dozen or so android phones over the years and I'm very fussy with even the smallest details. I can't really find anything to complain about here: battery life is great, the display quality is outstanding, the sound richness and stereo separation is welcome, the size is good, the camera is fantastic (even in low light due to the variable aperture), the dual sim/SD card slot is refreshing, the S-Pen is also a great addition for someone that's never owned a Note type device before.I always find myself taking notes at work and in general, not having to carry around a notebook that I'd inevitably loose is a godsend. Surprisingly the handwriting recognition when using the S-Pen is amazing and recognises my writing even when I write it lazily with near 100% accuracy. This is now my preferred way to enter most text which I never thought I'd say.I have no complaints, get one for a good price. Samsung should have never priced this phone at £1000 though, no phone is worth that in my opinion.
