NSGGrom Performance Pogo Stick - Ages 5-9 - 40-90 Pounds (Green)

We bought this for my son's 9th birthday and it is perfect for his age he loves it!!!

My 7yo son is a pogo fanatic and was excited to get this new model that is recommended on the XPOGO site. He bounced on it for about a week and the ball on the bottom cracked in half. I was very disappointed with the quality of this product. He is nowhere near the weight limit either so that was not the problem.

My son got this from Santa per his request. He is 10 years old, about 55" tall and 60lbs. After a few inquiries and watching you tube videos, I purchased based on weight and not height. It was actually the perfect height if you look at the professionals, the bar hits by their hip joint and not the waist when jumping. Anyway, the pogo came, looks great and is super quiet compared to his friends' pogo sticks. The spring was stiff at first, but had loosened up after a few days and a couple weeks later he was bouncing over a foot high. Less than 3 months later, he tells me something is wrong. It has no more bounce. The spring looks like it bottoms out and he only gets a few inches off the ground. I contacted the company via their website who was prompt to respond. Apparantly the warranty is 90 days from purchase and since I bought a few weeks before Christmas, I am just outside that time period. Really disappointing since he was well within the weight limit and they are advertised with Xpogo so should be able to handle a lot more abuse than my son put on his pogo. Now I am torn, as we expected to purchase the Flight pogo for his birthday since he has gotten pretty good and we love how smooth and quiet it is, however I no longer trust the durability. The company says the spring is not a replaceable part, so we are out of luck.
