8 Inch LED Recessed Lighting, 18 Watt (150W Equivalent) 1350 Lm, Dimmable, IC Rated, Ultra Thin Downlight with Junction Box, 5000K (Daylight), Energy Star, ETL

Like everything so far about the lights & we're easy to install. I like the extremely slim profile of these lights. The only small issue I have is there is a tiny rubber o ring I'm guessing is meant to waterproof the screw together connection between the light & the box that are guaranteed to fall off & are pretty much impossible to find when they do. I don't think they are very important but just something to be aware of when installing them. 1/2 of mine are assembled now without them. They aren't in a wet area so I'm not concerned. Otherwise I like these lights.

I installed 8 of the 8 inch low profile lights to replace older 7 inch eyeball recessed fixtures. Very easy to install. My install was more difficult because I had to enlarge existing holes. I just made a cardboard template and placed it over the old holes, traced it and cut.My only complaint is they are too bright, if the holes weren’t there already I would’ve installed less lights. That was easily fixed with a Lutron Maestro dimmer. I will be ordering another 8 lights for a future project.

Purchased 12 of these in 2019, but I wasn't ready to install.I installed 6 of them early 2024. 4 of those are now dead. I'm sure all will be dead soon.Apparently "Ostwin Lighting" (where I bought mine) is no longer around, there is a different (?? really) Ostwin lighting that sells the same (similar) stuff. 99% of their products are "currently unavailable." The only item listed as available is "OSTWIN 9W LED Light Bulb 60 Watt, E26 Light Bulb, A19 3000k Warm White, 800 Lumens, CRI80 Daylight, Non-Dimmable, UL Listed 6 Pack." I would NOT recommend that anyone buy anything labeled as Ostwin.

Though I like the performance, after a couple of years, one of our four has failed. Easy as pie to replace... except... on the exact same model, they've changed the unique connector coming from the housing to the bulb. What I bought two years ago had a male output, and now they have a female. So, up in the attic and swap out the box. That's an hour task for something that should take a couple of seconds.

These lights were priced at almost 50% of what I could get at the big box stores. Their value was exceeded by the ease of installation, brightness and clarity of lights and thin contour make them perfect for any indoor location. We are currently in the middle of a major remodel of our home and we plan on using them throughout the house. We couldn't be more pleased with a product. It great to find a product that exceeds expectations.

Moved into a house that was recently redone. They used this brand of lighting so we stayed on course with the previous owners choice. The precious light had the reverse connections for junction box to light so that was a little upsetting, but it was easy enough to switch the box and connect the new light. It’s very bright and gives the space an excellent amount of light.

This is an excellent item! Color (4000K), brightness (lumens), quality of materials (cast aluminum, good quality plastic) is amazing! I wish only that the round rim be more wide (just a little - 1/8''). But overall it was the ONLY one that fitted into out non-standard holes. Look at the picture where LED compares with the old compact fluorescent light fixture! the diffrence is stunning! Thank you OSTWIN! I'm very satisfied!

Originally I thought that these lights where a good deal. They have a five year warranty but their customer service is garbage. they wont get back to me and I'm getting the run-around. The rule is you get what you pay for, well I paid for cheaper lights and I got them. I ordered 5 and have already had 2 failures. The seller through amazon will not respond to my emails as I have more light failures in less then a year of use. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LIGHTS if you want working lights!!
