Running Sneaker Lite
Typically I wear running sneakers at the gym, but since running is not in my repertoire, I thought I would give cross trainers a try. I got these in my regular sneaker size, 6W, but these were somewhat long and loose. After the fact, I looked on the New Balance size chart, and saw that what I really needed was a size 5.5. (New Balance runs a bit bigger than typical American sizing?) So, I returned the size 6 and got a size 5.5 which fits perfectly. There is not nearly as much cushioning and support as I'm used to with a running sneaker, but even if I find that these cross trainers are not for me at the gym, they will be for me as everyday wear since I like their look and style. I don't know if the regular width has a rounded toe or not, but the wide does, and that is what I need. The shoelaces are very long - too long unless you thread them through the very top lace hole that is set back from the others. Thank you, Amazon, for free shipping both ways on clothing and footwear.

Disappointed New Balance Fan
I use cross training shoes exclusively for exercise (about five hours of strength training, resistance and cardio each week). New Balance is the best fitting cross trainer for me but this particular model has been very disappointing. It is lightweight with a thin tongue and very little support. I would not order this model again even though the fit itself is as labeled, the quality does not seem up to par. It was a disappointing purchase and instead of wearing it for exercise, it unfortunately has spent most of the time in my closet. I actually had to buy shorter shoestrings in lieu of triple tying the ones that came with the shoe!

Cute but zero functionality
The look of this shoe is super cute and that's the only good thing. If you want a shoes that just to walk around and look cute, buy this shoe, I would recommend a 1/2 size smaller. The functionality of this as a crosstrainer is zero. Herls slip off on lunges, planks, moutain climbers, as well as on my rowing machine. Literally my heels come out of the shoe. As a base for squats or single leg moves it is very unsteady. Absolutely do not jump in this shoe! I really wanted to love this shoe, New Balance really missed the mark with this one

Poorly made
I'll agree with the reviewer that these are so cheaply made, their true origin is suspect. The tongue of the shoe is just a strip of fabric, paper-thin, no padding, serving no purpose. The tread is almost dangerously non-existent. Doing planks on the thin carpet of my gym, my feet kept sliding out from under me! The bottom of the shoes were literally too slippery for stabilization! Then the sole is so stiff, they literally pop off my feet! They are very comfy and lightweight, so I'll give them a star for that, but they are not supportive at all. Not good. Maybe once they break in a bit the sole will be more accommodating and flexible. I can see using these just for everyday, but not for my bootcamp!

Perfection
These are the best cross-training shoes that I have tried! They do not rub in the heel they do not rub on the bottom of the foot there is enough room for my toes to wear a nice size sock. I walked in these four hours and they felt as comfortable as they did when I started the walk. Right out of the box onto my feet and out in the street! Definitely the best brand compared to Nike, Reebok, Oasics, Converse, Puma, Tretorn... I got the d wide width and they are perfect.

Great looking lightweight, yet still cushy, shoe for minimal shoe fan
Happy with these shoes-- and they look fabulous. I am a university instructor, and they're elegant enough of tennis shoes to looks casual chic.I have worn NB's Minimus trail running shoes for over five years as my favorite shoe of all time, and I am still a fan of minimal shoes, but my physical therapist recommended trying a cushier shoe for commuting around town. These fit the bill as a great step into a more absorptive shoe.Trouble shooting: shoes slip a bit UNLESS you lace into the final hole up by the ankle. This solves the "too long laces problem," as well. Could use a little more arch support (bummer that they're not as supportive as the Minumus in this department) but I am hoping that an insole for my arches will help.

Lightweight, cushy, and fun
Love these sneakers!! They are very light and comfy! I'm a sucker for leopard and bought these within ten seconds of seeing them. I had purchased a pair of adidas 3 months ago on Amazon and they were not comfortable. This was the second pair or adidas I purchased that ripped my feet apart with blisters. On top of that, the adidas weren't even comfortable, in terms of the footbed. They felt like a bowling shoe. My New Balances are a welcome change coming from that. The brand has never disappointed me!

Comfy and cute!
I wore these to work the first day I received them. Comfy all day. I need good shoes to be on my feet for over 5 hours. I received 3 compliments on them the first day. They are cute and feel good. What more can you ask?
