Calendar page thickness
I've been buying Sierra Club Wilderness calendars since at least 1980. Before I purchased the 2019 calendar, I looked at a few of the reviews and noticed that some of the negative ones talk about the paper getting thinner over the years. Since we save past calendars (that's how we used to keep track of daily events), I thought I'd take a rather unscientific look at the calendar thickness over the years. Calendars that we have dated 1990 and earlier are about 0.125" thick (14 pages). 1991 and later (still 14 pages) all seem to be around 0.095" thick, give or take a few thousandths of an inch. So people who say that the calendar pages have gotten thinner are correct, they also must have really good memories since the thickness changed some 27 years ago and has been pretty much the same since. As for me, I love these calendars and will continue to purchase them even though the individual pages are 0.0025" (about the thickness of a human hair) thinner than they were 27 years ago :-)

Our hall calendar for 20 plus years
We love the photographs, some better than others, but that's photography. One word of caution: One day when one of my conservative friends was over, he stood looking at the calendar for a long time, as in long time. I finally asked what he saw in the photograph."I didn't know you were a member of the Sierra Club!" I was shocked. After all, it is just a high quality calendar.

There is much about the East and the Midwest and Plains that can be beautifully displayed, as well
I buy this calendar every year - and have done so, for almost all of the last 30 years, at least. One thing that I have noticed is that there is an awful emphasis upon West Coast scenery. There is much about the East and the Midwest and Plains that can be beautifully displayed, as well. I encourage the editors of this calendar to try to provide a wider representation of our beautiful country. That said ... it's a beautiful calendar, as always.

Beautiful pics, coil binding, large squares
I've been using this calendar for years. It's my favorite! The pictures are spectacular, but the things I like best about it are the large squares for writing in and the coil binding at the top. Calendars that are not bound this way sometimes fall apart during the year, e.g. the page rips out of the staple. The coil binding also allows the calendar to lie or hang flat. Excellent quality!

Great!
I really love this calendar. This is the second year in a row I am buying it. The paper is thick and nice quality, and I like the layout because I keep my calendar on my desktop to write in it every day, and this is the perfect layout to do that .

Nice Calendar, but...
I've enjoyed buying the Sierra Club wall calendar for decades. This year was no different - stunning pictures, great size for jotting in appointments and reminders, and a good way to show support for the Club's work keeping the most beautiful parts of our country intact and available for public awe and recreation. And what a good thing I was ordering it for myself, rather than as a Christmas gift, since it arrived with crushed corners and there would not likely be time to return it and take a risk on another one.

Repeat Photos???
I have been buying this calendar for years...fits perfectly in a narrow strip of wall space. A couple of the pictures seem quite familiar. Not positive, but I think they recycled some old ones...

Not worth for the money.
Pictures are good, but doesn't have rope to hang the calendar. It looks like book with one hole punched. We need to make arrangement for hanging the calendar.
