No need to buy a whole new Electric Acoustic! Just get this pickup, plug n' play!
Product is exactly as pictured and arrived as expected. Thank you for this device and for the small note inserted into the package. It was subtly personal and also inspiring to read. It feels good to know that i'm buying a product from a seller who cares about their product, their name and their customer! The pickup itself works great and all the cords came included.PSA ABOUT APPLICATION*BEFORE YOU PEEL STICKER BACKING OFF FOR PLACEMENT**Lay your instrument down on a flat surface and place the pickup onto the instrument.*Plug in the cords, turn on your amp and move the pickup around the surface of the instrument. The signal will be more clear and stronger in some areas than others. (Mind the volume control whilst doing this! )*Find the sweet spot and place a coin down where the pickup was. (for reference)*THEN peel the adhesive sticker, remove the coin, place the pickup, and play to your hearts desire!(Other reviews are correct about the feedback of percussive interaction, just be sure the pickup is in the "safe zone" out of reach from hand/bow motions)The adhesive is strong so be careful placing it and try to get it where you want it on the first try. I haven't removed mine yet but when I do, I will probably use some isopropyl alcohol to wet down the sticker and some kind of dull-tipped tool to gently ease it off. I fear what ripping it off forcefully may do to the surface as I said, the stickers are strong! Happy Playing!

Easy to install, impossible to move
The way this device stuck onto my ukulele, it became very evident that it was in its definitive location. I emailed the company and got a quick reply indicating "You can try to use Medicated Oil or slushing oil (like WD-40) remove the goop, moisten it, soften it, rotate it gently down, and then remove it with the Medicated Oil."Well, that is not something I want to try on my $300.00 eight-string ukulele. So, it is where it is. If you get this and you want to try different locations so see what sounds best, I would recommend holding it in place using some stretch wrap like is sold at U-Haul stores.Fortunately, the location I stuck it on ended up sounding pretty good. Here is how the four-star rating came to be:Five stars for how it sounds. One star for being difficult to place.Five stars for customer service.

Great product for the price
I am actually surprised at the quality for being under $20.The good: It works as it is supposed to. It's compact. It's easy to use. It's under $20. One cool thing is that it comes with two cables. One that you can connect to the post for the guitar strap, and then run out to your amp/mixer via a 1/4" cable; and one cable that is a 3.5mm and 1/4" that you can plug straight into the pickup and run into your amp/mixer. The 3.5mm cable is really small so I think the 1/4" is the better option. But it's cool to have both options, if you don't feel like having the other cable strapped to your guitar. The bad: Really the only thing I don't like is that if you touch the cable the sound comes through the amp. But, that's to be expected with the design. The cable is a bit long and so easy to bump. But it comes with two clamps to hold it in place.I don't leave many reviews but I am VERY pleased with this. I am going to use it for a couple gigs. Pretty cool and simple design. I'm happy with it.

Great for uke, maybe more
I just realized today that I have had this little guy for 3 years now.I haven't used it a lot. I bought it for my ukulele and at present I only use in one song. But it's been successfully used live a few times and it's just as easy to plug it into my system, whether in my home studio or on stage, as it is to plug in my acoustic guitars.Acoustic pickups are tricky things to get right. I've had a couple of others over the years and I still want to try something else I just saw. But I have no complaints with how it works out for my uke. Good tone and dynamic range for that somewhat less demanding instrument. And you can't beat the price.I'm going to plug it up again before I actually buy another. I might not. It's really quite good. Also, I'm still on the original adhesive pad and it hasn't harmed my finish. But I take proper care of my things, too.

Special aux cable a dud out of box, BUT...
Pickup *can* create great sound.I rebuilt the main adapter cable. It looks terrible but it works, now.The adhesive pads provided *SEVERELY* impair the quality. I'm not a snob, but it sounded muddy like my guitar had a head cold...a head cold that somehow caused feedback at any gain or volume level.I ended up using a thin coat of hot glue to attach the pickup to the body of my guitar and the sound quality is now better than any of the prior pickups I've used.Basically, if i wasn't a confident tinkerer, I'd be mad as h*ll with this product as delivered. In the end, the price was still decent for the 'parts' delivered. But, a shrewed shopper with a care for music would be careful not to trust this item as a reliable finished product.Hope this helps someone.

Okay, but not for serious live performance
It gets the job done okay for a very low price, so I do appreciate that, but the overall sound was just okay. It wasn't as full sounding as a microphone. It's a little better if you don't use the thick tape that comes with it, but buy some very thin double sided tape for carpet. That way some more vibration gets through. I don't understand the idea of using tape that isolates resonance on a pickup that needs resonance to work. Anyway, if you are needing something for practice and it needs to be cheap then this one will certainly do, but if you're buying it for live performance in a serious setting then I think you may be disappointed.
