Perfect Beginner Shoe Runs Small
After reading the reviews, I ordered this shoe in a 10.5 W. I wear a ladies 9.5 New Balance sneaker. The shoe fits length-wise perfectly. The thing you need to know about this shoe is that it fits like a dress shoe, so the width and feel are like wearing a low heel. When you dance in these shoes, it's like dancing in dress shoes. They are not the most comfortable shoes by far, and there's not much in the way of foot support. They don't hurt my feet at all.Basically, they feel just as they should given a middle-aged, fat woman just crammed her swollen feet into them. That being said, the shoe is a good enough quality for a beginner, and they are made quite well.I bought these for clogging, so I was able to easily replace the Capezio Tele Tone taps with Steven's Stompers which I glued on with Shoe Goo. They are my new workout plan.Much more fun than say, yoga. The shoes sound great. They look nice with jeans. I'm pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy them again.

Great shoes...with a defect
There was only ever a problem with one shoe, but it was extensive:Both shoes fit and functioned well for the first two months or so, until a screw fell out of the left ball-plate/tap. I put the screw back in but after about a week it fell out again. My teacher then tried to insert the screw, only to discover that it had originally been screwed in so far that it screwed through the sole of the shoe. Since then the screw has been lost entirely, and another followed in its wake. The plate now swings freely as it is only connected by one screw. It appears that this is a defect, as there have been no problems with the other shoe, or with the other plate on the defective shoe.I would return the shoe and get a replacement, but the window for returns had closed before the problem became evident.

Capezio is a good brand and I really expected better sizing and quality
these shoes run VERY small. I normally wear a 5.5 and the reviews said to order a size up which I did. The size 6 was tight so I returned it for a 6.5. , thus losing $10.00 in the transaction. The size 6.5 fit, however brand spanking new, right out of the box, the back of the shoe is peeling. It is wearable, and I probably will not go through the hassle of returning it again and waiting another 5 days... (what happened to the 2 day prime shipping?????????) for another pair., but they are definitely defective or seconds! Capezio is a good brand and I really expected better sizing and quality. Word to the wise..... order the pair that is half the price!!!!

Great!!!
These shoes came earlier than expected which is great and fit snug the way dance shoes are supposed to feel. I am 10 in street shoes and ordered a half size up, so I got a 10.5. Capezio products are always good quality so I'm not worried about the shoe breaking apart because I know they'll last long ☺️

Bunch of red flags
A ton of warning flags. My daughter only tried on the right shoe 1 time to make sure they fit. I then got to looking and the right shoe is a little bigger than the other. Not a lot but enough I noticed with them still set in the box. I pulled them out and held them sole to sole to be sure. Also, though it on both shoes, there are sheared off corners of the rubber parts of the sole and there should not be. There is also a lot of fuzz and hair or fur inside that would probably not be there in a factory new pair. These did NOT come in a capezio box. Supposedly because the original box was damaged. I'm going to exchange ONCE if they still aren't right I will be looking elsewhere for tap shoes.

Favorite Jazz Shoe
Love these shoes, brand does run smaller than actual regular shoe size. Daughter normally size 4 in sneakers and we bought a 5.5 but she also has wider feet. I keep buying this brand of lace up jazz shoes because they lace which gives us flexibility and the quality is very good. She puts them to use and they still look really good. She uses them for both dance and on stage/theater performances. We got bothe black and nude in the same size. Will definitely buy these again as her foot grows. I did get a too small size teh first time and the return was quick, easy and free so it was a no brained to keep buying from this seller and product.

Good Beginner Tap Shoe
I purchased the Capezio Women's Fluid Tap Shoe last year in a size 7 and 7.5 with my normal street size being a 6.5 or 7 depending on the shoe. The 7 was snug in width and short/tight in the toe box, but I decided to keep them thinking that they would stretch out. I'd also read online that tap shoes are supposed to fit without much room in the toe box. The shoes did stretch a little in width. However, nearly a year later I've found myself having to buy a new pair of tap shoes because it was getting too painful in the (big) toes with these. The inside of the shoes are very soft, they've held up really well and produce decent sound so don't hesitate to buy a pair, if your interested, but consider that they may not stretch much, if at all, in the toe.

Perfect for the tap class. PERFECT.
Daughter needed the "flexible" tap shoe and this fits the bill. The tap sound is good and strong, "clicky" just like it should be. The quality appears very good, as well. She is also a ballet dancer (en pointe) and she can point her foot and get up "on top" of the shoe a la' Michael Jackson style very well. This shoe arrived quick as a wink, too (I do have Prime). Very happy. And this was her first flexible tap shoe purchased sight unseen. She has previously done the Broadway tapping with the hard sole. You will be a happy tapper with this Capezio. Also, Amazon had a better deal than the manufacturer's website, fyi.

Seams ripping
Bought these shoes after having my last Capezio tap shoes for just over 4 years. They arrived on October 15th, and mid January I noticed the side seams coming apart on my left shoe. I put them on to each class at at the end (4 hours) the small rip had turned into a rip entirely down the middle seam!

Pleasantly surprised
I bought these blind. I had never taken tap and I got them, without trying in a store or anything for my first class. People advised me to go to a store and try them. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. They fit perfectly, are so comfortable and have a nice sound to them. For my next pair, I will buy a pair with higher heel, but that is just me.

Cheap look and smaller than expected
The material is not in good quality, not worth this much of money! We tried the size 6 in the store and ordered 6w thinking it would be wider for a better fit but it comes just like the regular 6 even slimmer fit.
