KMS HAYLOFT KMS HAYLOFT Timothy Choice Pellets - 10 lb

I switched my male guinea pigs over to the KMS Hayloft Timothy Pellets since one of them is now predisposed to bladder stones. I want to avoid another surgery for him, so I switched them from Oxbow in case that had something to do with it. I've already had three of five male guinea pigs have bladder stones (one died at 6.5 years with them, second one had very bad genetics so predisposed to them- got them at less than 1.5 years, and then most recent one diagnosed around 3 years) and maybe I just have bad luck... though had one male go to 8.5 years with no issues. Anyways, this was one of the switches to hopefully prevent future stones for Oliver and hopefully avoid them for his actual brother that I also have.My boys love these pellets. Nice and fresh. They don't have any of the seeds or other junk that some companies put in their guinea pig food. I've liked the ingredients in this food. A bit larger than the Oxbow pellets but my boys have no issues with them. They pretty much eat them right away when they go into their bowl. I do recommend ordering ahead of time so you have extra on hand because KMS did have a time that it was harder to get. I think because of the fires though.

I have 5 guinea pigs and had been using Sherwood pellets; which they did not like and rarely ate - I tried 3 bags worth over 3 months. KMS had bee recommended by YouTuber SkinnyPigs1, and when I had given Sherwood pellets a real try I decided to get these.1st - they smell wonderful2nd - I'm only 3-4 weeks in and my pigs are loving them - with Sherwood pellets, as I was transitioning from their old pellets to Sherwood, the pigs would just eat around the Sherwood pellets and finally didn't eat the pellets at all.Finally the packaging is great, easy to open, resealable zip and the paper-type of package is dark which will mean a longer shelf life, if needed.

I switched over to KMS from Oxbow because this pellet brand has less calcium and one of my boy pigs has bladder issues. So far, they have been loving it and I have been buying since September. My girl just devours it! It always smells very fresh when it arrives. I think it is worth the price, even though it is a bit expensive. Every time I buy, the founder always sends a personal thank you which is nice as well.

This is the only piggy pellet I use now. For all of the piggy parents that are concerned about calcium and sludge, this pellet is for you. Being honest, my first order was a nightmare. Shipping took about a month and I received them only after having multiple email exchanges with the company. I was not impressed. HOWEVER, we were mid-pandemic and I realize that some issues were beyond anyone’s control. The piggies liked them and wouldn’t you know it? No more white sludge on the fleece. I have reordered since that initial order and did not have any issues with shipping on the subsequent orders. I will continue to purchase these pellets.

KMS Hayloft Timothy Hay pellets are the best quality pellets I can find! Very fresh, bright green, and my guinea pigs go crazy over them! The only bad thing is the packaging - sometimes the sides/bottom of the bags split and leak pellets out, but is easily remedied with some tape.Excellent product - I will always buy pellets from KMS!

These eventually were approved to be consumed by the piggies. The pellets are a bit longer than expected. Not an issue. BUT these are not the best based on the top ingredients and soybean, which I recently learned about. Will not purchase again after learning that.

This is good quality rabbit food! It smells great. I gave flavor 5 stars, but haven't personally tried it. My rabbit seems to love it though. He seems much more content with this than any of the other foods I've tried.

She loves to eat and happens to be eating dandelion above.But she also loves these KMS Hayloft pellets.I don't over feed and do not give her as much as she wants .I give her about 1/2 tbl. spoon twice a day.The rest is hay and veggies.Romaine,cucumber,sweet pepper, apple slice or recently bit of cornsilk with the inner husk.Also unsprayed(no weedkiller) dandelion and grass.Anyway I like these pellets because they are low in calcium and other minerals.Less chance of bladder sludge and stones which all guinea pigs are prone to.
