Lightweight and portable comfort...
Now that school is almost out, we're seeing these hammocks spring up all over in the parks around here. We live in Ann Arbor and passing through the quad recently I counted 6 hammocks. If you're going to be hanging out for a while (no pun intended) a hammock definitely beats sitting on the lawn...This hammock is our 2nd one - the material seems to be the same, perhaps a touch heavier. Fabric and stitch quality are good, no flaws noted and only one loose thread. Note that there is a definite "break-in" period when the fabric, rope and webbing stretch out. The first time I used this I ended up re-adjusting the hammock twice, then since, only once.My preference is to be more discreet if I'm hanging a hammock off a tree in a public place, so the 2-tone green blends in well, as do the black attachment strap, which are made of a decent 1" nylon webbing.Overall, the hammock, straps and carabiners weigh 613 grams or 1# 6 oz, These are steel links, 1.4 oz / 40 grams each, so if you're a weight weenie, you could get some weight-rated, aluminum climbing caribiners to reduce the weight.

Comfy & Cool Looking
This hammock is awesome for those who bike camp or backpack - the whole huge hammock comes tucked into a cute little carrying case and is super lightweight. When you pull out the hammock, it is part of the bag so it's all connected and hangs right by your side as you're laying in the hammock - perfect for throwing a phone or drink in. I love that feature because you don't see it often on hammocks and it makes so much sense for camping! The material is like nylon and feels like a parachute and it's so comfy to lay in. This is going to be the perfect hammock for the beach strung between two palms - I can't wait to make more use of it during the summer months here in San Diego! Oh, and it fits two comfortably!

No mess, no fuss, no fat!
Being a cake decorator, I bake quite a lot of cakes and I always expect the cake to come out of the pan with no effort, so I usually grease and flour heavily using parchment. Of course, this means adding more fat and calories to the cake and it is also a messy chore. Then there's also the chance that the cake will not come out in one piece and that means using frosting to keep the pieces together. When I saw this non-stick silicone, I was overjoyed and didn't hesitate to order one. Of course, I was anxious to test it out so I baked a cake just for the heck of it to see how good it worked. To my amazement, I had no problem getting the cake out of the pan in one piece. I just ran the knife down the edges and I had a perfectly neat cake. One less thing to worry about.

Nice, sturdy silicone mat from a trusted seller
I had no reservations in buying this mat, as I have been watching instructional videos from Woodland Bakery Blog for some time, and the recipes Gretchen Price shares with the world are tested and as good as she claims they will be. This silicone mat is exactly as described. The best part is that it performs as well as, but is priced much lower than, the Silpat; a bonus feature is that I'm able to see through it. It has multiple uses and allows me to save money on parchment paper. One of my favorite uses is to roll out and cut cookies right on the mat, slide it on a cookie sheet and pop it right into the oven. I hope that Woodland Bakery Blog will sell a full sheet size at some point!

Thanks to Woodland Bakery Blog!
These silicone baking sheets are the best I've used yet! Typically, I buy one or receive one as a gift, don't like it, store it, and declare I'll stick to parchment paper. But when I heard Gretchen from Woodland Bakery Blog was selling some, I had to give them a try. Her recipes are great, so I had faith in her product. And they do not disappoint! These mats are the first I've used that didn't need a pile of books laid on them to try to flatten them from that dreadful "shipping curl". Better yet, they have a 'clingy' bottom (doesn't sound quite right, but it's the best I can do) that sticks them in place on the baking sheet so there's no shifting sheets or curling edges. I'm so glad I bought three. They will certainly be put to use!

Perhaps the Best Action Figure
This is the best action figure I have seen since Super-Poseable Spider-Man; The coloration is magnificent, with well-varied colors and textures, giving Nightcrawler both an authentic look in comparison to the movie version, and an atmospheric feel that fits the stand. The accessory is an assembly-required standm twice the mass of the figure, with rungs of fake wood for him to dance over or hang from, and a nice false stained glass back. It is not very durable, but beautiful to look at, well-sculpted and painted, and the perfect resting place for the figure. He boasts only a few of the Gabriel symbols from the movie, but keeps his popular coat, which is a bendable, durable plastic that looks as perfectly worn. Beneath it, he wears his rags and pajamas, which cannot conceal all of his points of articulation, but you simply can't at this level. He has articulated toes, ankles, swivelling shins, double-jointed knees, swivel thighs, ball jointed hips, waist and mid-torso, triple-jointed shoulders, double-jointed elbows, double-jointed wrists, fingers and a double jointed neck, and the joints don't go dangerously loose, but only give him a more authentic feel after being broken in. This fella can make almost any post you can imagine, especially with his bendy tail, which is the least detailed part, but fun, especially to grip the wood of his stand. You can re-enact any scene in the movie with this figure, or your kids can create their own, in the most unlimited fashion to date. I'd write more, but I'm gonna go make him wrestle Spider-Man some more. Enjoy!
