It just works
I've used a bunch of bike pumps over the years, and I was getting sick of pumps that were unreliable, especially with Presta valves. After I finally gave up on my last pump ever being reliable with Presta, I decided to just go all out and buy the best pump I could find, settling on this one.I'm glad I did, because this one just works. You don't need any adapters, just press it over the valve (supposedly both Presta or Schrader, but I have only tested it with Presta valves) and pull the lever and it seals perfectly. I've used it on multiple bikes over the past year, and it continues to work great, filling the tires with minimal effort. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it's hard to read the gauge precisely at low pressures. It's hard to tell, for example, whether I am putting in 36 psi or 38 psi, because the range is so great, at 260 psi max, that there is little space between the values. This wouldn't be a problem on road bike tires, which may use 3 times that pressure, where a few psi in one direction or the other means little, but on mountain bike tires it's hard to read. This could be solved either with a bigger gauge or a non-linear display to give more space between numbers at the lower end of the spectrum, but it's a minor complaint. Also, the paint arrived scratched up in a bunch of places due to improper packing for shipment, but I don't care -- it's meant to be used, not to be looked at.

"Buy it for life" pump. Have owned for more than two years, and just like new!
I purchased this pump on April 2, 2011. Since then I have used it hundreds of times, as I bike commute and also go for long (> 50mi) weekend rides. I've also moved across the country with it. To this day, the pump works like new. Nothing is wrong with it, and it has never failed me. When my tires are deflated to ~55psi after not riding for a week, I can get back up to 120psi in about 7 strokes. It inflates super fast. The valve pump head seals perfectly on my presta valves each time. I've used it on my road bike, my previous hybrid bike, and two of my wife's hybrid bikes. The construction is *solid*. All metal construction. The handle is rubber for grip. The gauge is easy to read while standing up and pumping, and is also accurate and precise. A quarter of a thrust will get you just a few PSI.I scratched the paint on the base a bit while standing on it with my clipless shoes. Really not something I care about. The valve pump head can be a bit tricky to get off the valve because the seal is so strong. You have to pull straight back with a bit of force. This is the only minor hiccup I encountered.I am a big fan of buying things for life, and so far, this pump has lived up to that expectation.

Almost right but not quite.
This is described by Serfas as their flagship. Hyperbole by the maker is understandable. The orange paint is flashy and hot rod shiny. I like the visual presentation. A standout literally. The stamped metal base is decidedly Harbor Freight. The dial is marginal at best. So busy, it is essential worthless for anything short of youthful 20/20 eyes. With no rotatable index to overcome the issue of too much printed stuff in too little printable space mounted too far away. It has a heavy duty woven wire mesh hose core you see with the clear plastic outer sleeve. A heavy duty look. The flip up latch valve head works great on a Schrader. Positive no leak seal is easy to get.The long tube is easy to pump you up fast. All pluses. I don't have Presta's so no idea how that goes. Comes with sport's ball and air mattress fittings. So am I sorry I chose it? 50-50. Had I seen it in a brick and mortar store, I'd have certainly entertained a Plan B. But the nuisance of sending it back to amazon makes it a keeper.Update: Bought a new bike that has Presta valves. Pump works seamlessly with them. And I used thin strip of red plastic tape to make myself an index point on the rim of the pressure gauge. Easy to tell when I'm at the right psi even if I can't read the numbers.

Mixed Feelings
I was looking around at the different floor pumps available when I came across this one. It seemed pricey, but everyone else was saying it's the only pump I'd ever need. I ordered it a couple of days ago and I got it today and it looked amazing. I pumped my tires super fast, but the gauge simply does not work. I'm maxing out at like 40 PSI on my bike tires. What's the deal? I'm not a strict rater, by any means. I like this item, but for this price, I think I should get a pump that has a working gauge. I was reading up on some of the other Serfas pumps, and people were saying the FP-50's gauge didn't work well either. I heard good things about the FP-200, though.I'm just a little bummed out, I have a pair of Serfas lights which are bright as heck, and I love 'em. I just can't believe I dished out this much for a faulty pump.UPDATE:I forgot to mention that I have a road bike that uses Presta air valves. I thought that might be the reason why it's not reading it. I exchanged my pump with Amazon and I received another pump the next day, but it had the same problem. I'm now returning it. I'm not saying it's a bad pump. It seemed to work for everyone else, but if you have a bike with Presta valves instead of Schrader, you might want to reconsider.Kudos to Amazon for the SUPER fast exchange.

So sturdy compared to my plastic pumps. I hope it holds up for a long time.
I love how sturdy and heavy this is. It attaches easily to my tube nozzles and I love the pressure gauge. Im very im0ressed with this pump and only wish i had found and bought it sooner.

Excelente bomba
A mi me costó 1,800. Actualmente está en más del doble de precio.
