This is an excellent Gore-Tex Boonie Hat that I'm glad to make part of my outdoor gear. The chin strap can be helpful on windy days although I wish adjustment leather piece was more sturdy. Still, it's an excellent hat that was promptly shipped.

I own 6 different colors!! Have 2 for back ups!!

All descriptions say "Gore Tex". The hat doesn't say Gore Tex it says "OC Gear Water Defense". I don't know how well it will work but could have spent the same with Cabela's original gore tex

Husband said I liked it and kept my head dry so he will use it again next season.
