Simple but Effective
The little lint-trap white nylon weave bags have an elastic draw string that helps hold one in place on the end of our upright clothes washer drain hose which hangs over our utility sink in our basement laundry room. These lint catchers are very effective to prevent the majority of lint from the drain hose from ever getting into our sink drain. So our sink drain is always clear and fully available for other sink duties. The little lint filters stay on the end of the hose very securely and do not fall off. We change them about once every 4 months or so, as it is easy to see if a filter bag gets full of lint.

No lint-my Lady, perfect!
These work very well. WAY better than the wire mesh similar lint traps. I have installed a grey-water recycle system that runs the used washer water to our lawn and plants in the yard. This lint trap does a great job placed on the end of the hose keeping the lint from being deposited all over our yard. I really like that it has an elastic end which makes it easy to remove and clean, then slip back on again. If you are using the lint trap from the washer directly to the drain, I would recommend adding a tie-wrap or cable tie on the neck of the lint trap so it doesn't accidentally come loose and drop into your drain pipes. Check it monthly, because it does a very good job catching lint and will fill up fast, especially if you are washing things like flannel sheets, or new towels.Fits both at the end of a hose, and a standard washer drain hose. Any larger than the gray hose pictured, the elastic will not fit.

Inconsistent Opening Size and Bag Length
I need these for my washer which discharges into my sump pump pit to be pumped from there into the septic tank. These work perfect for lint and pet hair and I get a half dozen wash loads out of each one. The end of the discharge pipe I have to attach the net to is 1-3/4" and I always secure it with duck tape to ensure it doesn't blow off and into the sump pit. Problem is, one time I order them and I get a smaller version and the next I get a bigger one. The smaller ones are DIFFICULT to stretch over the end of the discharge line but both sizes are #7639500T (HP-7). Wish they could come up with different "part numbers" for the two sizes so I could consistently order the larger one.

Connects to and stays on drainage hose well
I purchased these because, after many years, I realized that there was no filter between the drainage of my washing machine and my drainage itself. I don't believe that is a huge deal for newer plumbing (although I am no expert!), but any risk of a clog that is otherwise preventable is a risk that I no longer feel like taking.Simply put, I strapped the nylon onto my drain hose and it hasn't fallen off yet, and that's all I am really asking for here. It seems to catch debris well and is already dirty after 6 weeks or so of use.Given how inexpensive these are, it's probably best to just buy new ones instead of dealing with the hassle of cleaning them, but that's up to you.

DO NOT BUY
I bought this product several times and this product has changed and is not what it used to be. The previous lint trap was much smaller and I thought when the new one arrived it was going to last even longer because the trap was significantly bigger. However, no such luck. The trap probably lasted a total of 3 washes, be prepared to not know when the trap is even full because it will spray water everywhere because it has a stupid extra layer in the trap causing it to be clogged easier. These SUCK!!!!! I switched over to the metal wirey ones and I have done SEVERAL washes and it’s still hanging strong with multiple washes still in sight. Stay away from this garbage!!!!

Great Value
Best item to catch lint from the rinse water of your washer. It stays perfectly around the hose opening. Other ones I had came off easy and the lint got stuck in the pipes.
