Thule Pack 'n Pedal Rail Extender Kit , Silver

This rack works as advertised on a full suspension bike. At the present time it is the only rear rack that will. However, it costs 4x as much and carries 1/2 as much a stronger racks for non-suspension bikes. The trunk bag for it is terrible, the side rails ($20 optional accessory) may or may not work with your frame geometry, and the extender rails ($10 accessory) are useless if you want to have side rails, which of course you want to have, if you are going to have panniers and need to move the bags further back to avoid pedal strikes.

Have a full float bike and the Thule Pack and Ride rack is a great fit, but much nicer if you can move panniers further back. I bought 2 sets to extend both rails.

Fits very well just did some tests today and nothing fell off

They are fine extenders, for what they are, but the picture IS deceiving. I also wanted the black plastic stops, one of mine had gone missing. I figured what the heck, the extender could still be useful and replace my plastic stop. They do NOT come with plastic stops. The only way to replace the plastic stop is to buy an entire rail kit from Thule, which is 17 dollars plus 10 dollars shipping.

Not useful/needed, basic Thule Pack 'n' Paddle Tour Rack more than ample setback. Ended up not installing this extension at all. Rating is based on not needing, not the quality of the product. I would strongly recommend buying the base Tour Rack and inly purchasing this if it dores not suit your needs. All Thule priducts I have ever purchased havr been of the highest quality.

I purchased this to use with the Thule Pack 'n Pedal Tour Rac and Pack n' Pedal Side Frames.It increases functionality in order to use my own (non-Thule) panniers, but I think I could have managed without the extension, just fine.

Perfect edition for the bags that I have they keep everything perfectly balanced

These Thule Pack n Pedal Rail Extensions are Brilliant! They extend the rail of the Thule rack and pannier out beyond the reach of your shoe when clipped into the pedals thus allowing your pedal motion to clear the pannier satchel and save being throwing you off the bike. Simply Brilliant and so well designed by Thule.

Habe diese Verlängerung mit dem Thule Gepäckträger und den Seitenteilen gekauft.Leider steht nirgendwo eine Info ob man dies wirklich braucht!!!Deshalb jetzt hier meine Info!!!Erst einmal den Gepäckträger und die Seitenteile kaufen, montieren und Probefahren mit Taschen!Bei uns hat sich erst bei der heutigen Montage herausgestellt, dass die Verlängerung nicht gebraucht werden!!!!Natürlich ist unsere Rückgabe Frist bereits abgelaufen, was ich ehrlich gesagt etwas seltsam finde!?Aber offensichtlich wenn man etwas über Amazon kauft, bekommt man nicht die Möglichkeit mit dem Verkäufer zu reklamieren!Bin schwer enttäuscht!Also.....Finger weg von der Verlängerung, der neue Thule Pack`n Pedal Gepäckträger braucht diese Verlängerungen sicher nicht!Ist an einem E_Bike Fully montiert.

I have a coupling on my bike seat post for a trailer so I can't have a fixed rack. I regularly put this rack on and take it off as needed. Once you get the hang of assembly, it is easy to use and the quality is first rate. Obviously it can't carry the weight of a regular rack and panniers but given my restraints, I'd say it was an excellent purchase. I would recommend this rack to anyone who cannot use a fixed rack.

Ich hatte mir die Dinger bestellt und auch montiert - eines hatte ich aber nicht bedacht, wenn das erweiterungsset montiert ist, wie passen dann die Sideframes dran?! Gar nicht... somit ist das produkt fuer mich komplett ueberfluessig - denn wenn ich die Erweiterung dran hab um meine Taschen weiter nach hinten zu setzen, sollte ich ja auch Sideframes nutzen, was aber nicht mehr moeglich ist.
