So many misleading reviews that made me skeptical about even purchasing these but I am soooo glad I did. I read multiple reviews that mentioned these were made of real wax, uses 3 AAA batteries, and have a purplish colored wick.Not sure what other people ordered but I personally bought exactly what is advertised....the set of TWELVE candles at different heights which are made of PLASTIC resin but they are “wax like” in appearance. There is NO purple flame and they take **2** *AA* batteries. I LOVE these!!!! The flame flickers as if it’s a real candle burning and there is a setting to turn the flicker feature off and choose a “still” looking flame. Love that it comes with two separate remotes in case you want to split the candles up in different areas inside or outside of your home. Love that you have an option to set a 2, 4, 6, or 8 hour timer but why not be more practical with battery life and use the convenience of not having to set a timer at all by just simply turning them all on and off at once with the press of a button on the remote. There are times I have to tinker with the off/on button because not all of them light up at the same time like they should. If I did set a timer maybe this would not happen. Great features and options and money well spent. I would definitely recommend these and I will end up buying another set and it’s great to have the choice to use inside or outside of the home.

They sat on a shelf unused in our garage for an entire year till Christmas (bought as a gift but found something better and we got stuck with them).Each take 2 AA batteries a piece which can get annoying and expensive, but we thought we could use them on the thin ledge over our door entrance where there is a small window. They fit rather nicely and added a nice warm glow along with a glittery reindeer we added. My hubby set a 4hr timer and they worked great throughout most of the holiday, it was such a nice effect that we actually bought another set a few weeks later for another ledge. Again, the most annoying part is the amount of batteries. But they are bright, warm, flickering and overall we were very happy with them.We had a few minor issues and noted that it might have had to do with weakened batteries over time. For example one of the candles would stay lit after the timer cycle was over and a few times a few of them wouldn't light up during the timer cycle, which is why I gave the timer function 4 stars. This we fixed by using the remote to turn them off and on again, but messed up our timer cycle. Again, this could have been due to the dying batteries over time. Not a big deal and we think they are great.

Love these candles! Bought 16 sets for a concert stage design. Perfect for that!! Decided to get some for home, and I love them! Except, here lately all 12 have turned on at the same time without the remote being used. Literally just saw them turn on by themselves. No other remotes being used, nothing funky happening electrically. I do love in an apartment complex, but if I have to walk to each candle (in different rooms) to turn them on, I don’t see how they can ALL turn on at the same time. And for frame of reference: Typically turn them on at night and set a timer. By the time I wake up they’re off. All day long. Until they turn on by themselves. (10:48pm tonight) 🤔 And nobody’s foolin around. Remote is sitting on table next to me, and there are only 2 of us here. Sitting next to each other. Crazy.. Still like them!

First the cons - One of the candles didn't work at all likewise the dimming function on the remote doesn't do anything. If you are hoping that these will look real in close forget it, it's just not the nature of the beast.The pros- the bottom covers are on tightly and as long as they don't sit in water I wouldn't have any qualms about outdoor use. The timers work great and it is so nice to be able to tuck them in bookcases and other places a real candle wouldn't work. We have them scattered around the house automatically starting in the wee hours so we can see.Bottom line is We really like them and the only issue was getting a dud in the box. Can't speak to battery life yet.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a pretty good product! It requires a lot of batteries though which are not included, 2 for each candle so 24 AA batteries total (I didn’t have enough laying around for the last 3 unlit candles in my pic, they still work fine just need to buy more batteries). The brightness is pretty good and the remote control has two settings for brightness. I used what batteries I had laying around so the candles aren’t as bright with some of the used batteries, so I recommend buying a pack of new ones.The remote also has a flickering candle effect and a consistent light effect which is nice, along with a timer function. The set comes with two remotes and the remotes themselves come with batteries at least. Seems like a good product but I’ll have to see how quickly is sucks through batteries.

I love how the flame flickers. Can't say anything about the timer as I haven't tried it. Remote is great, you don't have to go around and turn each one on.
