More stems than herb
The herb I purchased was described as "Epazote Leaves Crushed." However, when the product arrived, it was loaded with stems and branches. Before I could use these in cooking, I had to sift out about 50% of the product delivered to me for usable leaves. I ended up with half of my order going down the garbage disposal.

Perfect for Black Beans
Epazote is sometimes called 'stink weed' for it's pungent odor. It is a common weed in Mexico and is used in a variety of cooking. I use it especially in beans and I think that black beans are really enhanced with a couple of teaspoons of Epazote in the pot. I also use it in eggs sometimes. In Mexico it is used medicinally for flatulence, hence the use in beans. Moderation is the secret in the use of Epazote as the flavor can be quite strong if used to liberally. I've had a hard time finding this in the US over the years and this product is perfect. I comes in a handy shaker bottle and it is easy to store. A great herb and a great product at a good price.

Hard to find in US fresh
Great for seasoning Mexican dishes. Beans are not Mexican beans without this. When you crush it in your hands before adding to food the full aroma comes out. I keep it in freezer to keep fresher, lasts a long time.

This one was so much better and pleased with the size of the container
I have ordered this herb from other companies and got very tough pieces of herb that were inedible. This one was so much better and pleased with the size of the container.
