SpeckProducts Compatible Phone Case for Apple iPhone XR, Presidio Sport Case, Black/Gunmetal Grey/Black

The color of the red case is awesome -- lighter than my red iPhone XR but still striking and deep. Fits the XR precisely. I have used Speck candyshell cases before and am accustomed to the somewhat sticky feel of that glossy case. This Sport case has a completely different feel - it's velvety soft, like maybe a hard rubber or leather. A very high-quality feel. It's smooth instead of sticky so it doesn't feel as secure from slipping out of your grip as the candyshell, but after handling it a while I don't think this is an issue. A prior review said that dust sticks to the case. There is some of that but it's very minor and not visible. Case is really well made in terms of protecting the phone. Multi-layers of protection and the back is thick enough to protect the protruding camera lens. So the case does tend to bulk up the phone a bit. This is the downside of the layers of protection. A temporary cheapo case I had gotten did not really protect the camera lens. The Speck Sport case has some unique features. There's a small knob on the side that you turn to set the mute switch on or off. Some people may not like this but I prefer the knob since flicking the tiny switch has not been easy for me. There's also a flap on the bottom end that covers the power port. I had a problem with a previous iPhone where lint got into the port and prevented the charging cable from staying in. I had to take it to an Apple store where they carefully scraped out the lint. They said this was a common problem. The flap eliminates the issue. All in all, I think the Sport case is a really high-quality product with a special look and feel.

Bought this case to replace the Lifeproof I have on currently. The lifeproof is good but my hands are too damn tiny and the XR is big enough already and the lifeproof case made it feel 100x wider. I absolutely love this Speck case. I love how vibrant the red is and I love how the case itself feels. Another big plus for me is how big the lip is that covers the camera. I’m constantly worried about scratching it when I set it down on a table or surface and this really helps ease my worries. The case is a dust/lint magnet but I’m going to live with it because all of the ports are covered. This case is awesome. Would definitely recommend.

This case protects very well but I ended up returning it because I did not like the style. The volume mute button cover is a dial. The dial sticks out from the phone too far for my likeing and I found it difficult to turn/rotate. I thought it would be an up/ down motion but you have to actually rotate the small dial and it was hard to grip for that. Also the bottom has a cover flap for the lightning port. It's great for overall protection but i didn't like the flap when it was open when charging with the lightning cable. This is a great case for protecting and covering every part of the phone but its not good everyday case.

this case is the best investment I made for my phone. I have 4 kids they always abuse my phone during tantrums my 2 year old son throws it as if his dad owns an Apple store and can get me a new phone. My 7 month old uses it as a chew toy , and ocassionally I find my dog sleeping on top of it. Recently the phone fell when I got out the car and forgot it was in my lap and I’ve been using the case for about 9 months now and it’s in outstanding shape. No chips in the cover , no cracks no fading. It actually does what it was meant to do. The ONLY con to this case is that I can’t get a pop socket to stick to the back because of the texture of the case it just doesn’t stick to the glue even then it doesn’t bother me enough to take away a star.

So far so good. I like the exterior feel of the case because it isn’t slick but stuff does cling to it especially if you like to slide your phone in and out of your pocket. Wireless charging has no issue with the case on either. Only time will tell on this case’s durability and their claimed drop protection because I haven’t dropped it yet. If you want to add a pop socket be warned the texture of the exterior doesn’t lend itself it a great surface for the adhesive stickers that those products use but it can just get in the way of wireless charging capabilities anyway.The purple one coordinates nicely with my coral iPhone XR as well with just a peak of the phone’s color showing through around the camera cutout.Update: its now September 2020 and the case has done a good job. My phone has endured small drops with no problem (and my small children) but still no 6ft drop or flying acrobatic mishaps to the concrete. I did combine this case with a glass screen protector and been happy with the slim case and level of protection.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been using the cover for a couple of months now and the cover is pretty, it looks just like in the picture. The color hasn't changed with use so far, it still looks the same as when I bought it and it really protects the phone; I like to use it when I go to the beach because it prevents sand from getting inside. BUT the case it's pretty slippery and I saw other people complaining about it before buying it, but I thought it wouldn't be a big deal... until I started using it. If you don't have a popsocket or any other type of phone holder it won't stay upright on any surface. The other thing is that after a while the side buttons don't work as well and the dial thing that changes the mute button on the side has stopped working completely. The only reason I still use the phone case is because it protects the phone really well.

Great case, very good protection from drops and dust as it deals both the silent switch and the charging port. Downsides are the over gripiness of the rubber can make it hard to get in and out of pockets, especially with the phone’s size.

Looks good and fits well. Does make the phone more bulky but I'd rather that than smash it...

No case fits as well as a speck. worth the money everytime

Sono una fan di Speck e ho avuto le loro cover dal 2012 per tutti i mie telefoni e hanno sempre fatto il loro dovere: proteggere il telefono essendo anche funzionali. Questa per iPhone XR purtroppo non la consiglio. Il difetto peggiore secondo me è come è stata concepita la copertura dei tasti, soprattutto quella per il tasto accensione/standby (che al tatto sembra fragile e non risponde bene al contatto) e quella per togliere la suoneria (il pulsante su iPhone è sottile e lungo e ha solo le posizioni on/off però quello della cover è rotondo e non funziona proprio!!! ). Il materiale non mi fa impazzire...sembra abbastanza scivoloso e bisognerebbe vedere come reagisce all’usura. La restituisco perché ho necessità di usare i pulsanti e questa cover non me lo permette. Spero di trovare da qualche parte una candyshell. Update: prima di fare il reso ho provato la cover per 2 settimane. Confermo la scivolosità del materiale. Inoltre nemmeno un'ora in borsa, in una tasca apposita, me la sono ritrovata con alcune indentature di cui allego le foto. PS ho preso la candyshell che é decisamente meglio.
