Great for the price
I waited a month to write this review due to the nature of all new products, they work great in the beginning and then die on you. But this keyboard and mouse combo(which I am using now to write this review) works great, the resistance on the keyboard is just enough. Its soft enough so you can type quickly but firm enough so that you feel like your typing. The battery life is surprising. I am still using the same batteries that came with the package which is pretty amazing due to the fact that most batteries that are included with products are pretty generic and low quality. I have noticed at times that the keyboard or mouse wont work very well unless your within a foot and half of the receiver, but I think this is just attributed to the batteries slowly dyeing which is probably reducing the signal quality. But all in all this is a great product if you are looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse on a budget. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Good deal for the price
My last logitech cordless mouse/kb lasted for many years. Heavy extended usage wore the markings off the keys. Bought this one hoping it would be a quick easy install using the old receiver. It was. Installed in 3 mins. Worked like a charm. Very reasonable footprint on my desk. Sleek and good looking. Keys are quiet and the tactile feedback is soft.

Decent set
This set has a separate "antennae" for the wireless access that is huge. It is half of size of the mouse. Good side is it has long wire, so you can sort of push it somewhere in far corner of the desk.Keyboard legs are not high, so even with fully extended legs, the tilt is barely noticeable, which make me ponder of putting something below it to tilt it. Keys itself are noisy and seem to be low quality.I have product for a month so I cannot say much about the durability. And I got refunded for it by my working place, so I guess, for the price is ok.

Used for entertainment computer
I bought this wireless mouse and keyboard to replace a 6 year old set. The set up that I use it not at a desk, I actually use this in my bed to connect to the entertainment computer under my 42" TV. The keyboard is REALLY light and i let it on the floor next to my bed when I need it. The mouse I leave on my night stand and use it often. It works so well that I lay it on the bed (the sheets) and can move the cursor around as easily as if it were on a mouse pad. Definitely impressive. My situation is unique so I'm sure this won't help many, but for $20 you really can't beat the price. As a set for a desk it would definitely do the job for most.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible range.
I got this combo for an HTPC with a large 1080p monitor, so I need to control it from the other side of the room due to the big screen. The mouse has given me no problems, but the keyboard is nothing but trouble. It can't reach the receiver dongle from a range farther than 10 feet in an open room. And when moved closer, almost any obstruction will block it, even a glass of water. The keyboard behaves like an IR unit rather than an RF unit. I had to disable keystroke repeating or else the computer would register endless forward slash keystrokes. Securing it did not help, nor did fresh batteries. I have had good experiences with Logitech webcams and wired mice, but I guess every manufacturer has a shoddy bottom-of-the-line product. This is it. If you're using this as anything other than a desktop replacement, splurge on something with a stronger signal.

nice keyboard, squeaky mouse
I bought this package as it is cheap and I never had a bad experience with Logitech products. As noted by other reviewers, the EX100 keyboard isn't opted with a light for the numlock & capslock. With the optional drivers installed though, you get an on screen message when using these or any of the laptop-like FN controls. Love the keyboard; it's cheap, light and does what it's supposed to do.The mouse on the other hand is a right pain in the neck; the left button squeaks straight out of the box and scrolling demands a Schwarzenegger-like index finger. IR isn't great either; don't go to far away from your PC...+2 stars for the really nice keyboard-1 star for the crappy mouse-1 star for the crappy IR-1 star for the fact 2/3 of this package doesn't cut it for me.

It is what it is
OK...two things first:1. I hate mice. I will graciously refrain from an extended rant (here at least) about Logitech's insistence on bundling mice with their keyboards. Why the people who make the best trackballs and keyboards in the galaxy insist on stuffing a crappy mouse in the box is beyond me. Listen up guys! If I wanted a mouse I woulda bought a mouse. It's a pain in the bleep to pay for that thing and then toss it in the trash to make room for the Cordless Trackman Wheel. GRRRRRRRRRRR!2. This is not the sooper dooper does everything but get up in the morning and make coffee keyboard that costs [...] bucks and takes up half of your desktop. It does do some interesting stuff if you are willing to mess with the Function keys but, if you really want that sort of thing, invest in a bigger unit. That said, this is an excellent keyboard for what it is. Which is to say: small, light, well built and minimal (and cheap, of course). My desktop space is very limited (also one of the reasons I do wireless trackballs instead of mice). This unit has all the basic keyboard/numberpad keys and none of the extras that infest the larger multimedia/gaming keyboards. What it has is full size, not scrunched down like most "mini" or laptop keyboards. The keys have a nice tactile feel. It does what it does very well. It would make an excellent external keyboard to lug with your laptop or netbook if you need one.I dunno about battery life yet: I've been using it daily for 3 months and it hasn't died yet. If it's like my other Logitech wireless keyboards it should go 6 to 10 months. The only "con" is that the legs are too short. Even extended you are working on an almost flat surface. I added a set of Laptop Legs to get it up to a better typing angle. YMMVAs for the mouse...well...it won't take up too much room in the landfill. :)
