The best for severe dry eye
My headline says it all and I am so relieved to know this product is available again. It seems the manufacturer was just redesigning the packaging, but the product is still the same and is also still lanolin-free. I no longer produce any tears and this product is a lifesaver for me and better than any other ointment out there due to its thickness. It is also nice to be able to buy it in bulk at a discount.

Great for dry eyes - no irritation
This is a great dry eye ointment. It does run out of my eyes at night, but that is normal. They cost about 3.33 per tube. Can't beat that price.

Best dry-ointment
Excellent eye ointment for dry eyes. Easy to get out of tube and eases that dry-eye feeling. Excellent price.

Effective and outstanding value
My son was in a severe bus crash almost a year ago. One of his eyes doesn’t close all the way so he needs this product consistently. The price is amazing and it’s effective. I’ve ordered it twice now and the package arrives quickly. Will be buying again in a couple of months for sure.

Not Thick Enough for Some Eye Problems
Ordered a case of Altalube Ointment because it was less expensive then the Lubrifresh P.M. salve I use every night to treat my RES [ recurrent erosion syndrome ]. Active ingredients were essentially the same; Mineral Oil 15% and White Petrolatum 83%-85%, but I found the Altalube to be a far more liquid consistency which did not stay in my eyes overnight and put me in danger of corneal erosion. I'm sure this product is fine for certain eye problems, but cannot recommend it for those of us with RES who need a lubricant that is a thicker consistency to create a barrier between our eyelids and cornea at night while we are sleeping.
