Reel seat too small for certain manufactures reels ie Penn as seen in the photos
I purchased the Shimano S.T.C monster rod for shore fishing but when the rod arrived I discover none of my 2 Penn reels will fit on the rod seat, the rod seat is too small to accommodate my reels and am now left with a Shimano S.T.C monster rod that I will have to take to a tackle shop to buy another reel which will fit the Shimano S.T.C monster reel seat, what a con by Shimano

My use of the rod is for mackerel fishing, for me it’s ideal. A light and well balanced rod at a great price and no bother with import.
