Broke the first time I tried to mount.
This clamp is not made to the same quality that the normal Audix mounts are. The clamp base is so small and not dense plastic that it snapped when attempting to adjust the gooseneck the first time I tried to use it. At least the normal mounts have a lot more material and are of a more dense plastic.Would not recommend -- go with the original bases or find an alternate mounting solution.

Works for me.
I used this for attaching my Audix drum mic to my bongos for a musical theater show, which ran for six weeks. It's relatively easy to get your mic where it needs to be and the flexible neck allows quick adjustments. Although there is some plastic in the clamp and screw that attaches to the conga or bongo, it didn't slip or move once during our six week run. I expect this clamp to last the rest of my career, but would think twice about taking this on the road in a rough and tumble situation. The price seemed steep, but hey, it works.

These have worked out great
I got these to mount onto my congas during live performance. They've worked out really well, actually. They clamp onto the tuning rods solidly and they don't really move even after two sets of slammin'. The plastic wing nuts which drive the clamp seem like they are made of brittle material so I've always been mindful when tightening and there haven't been any problems. The "gooseneck" element is pretty sturdy and rarely bends under the weight of the microphone, but as mics are heavy they will bend the gooseneck if you extend it too far, but proper placement is everything and I trust these to get me through the night. They also fit onto snare drums and anything with a tension rod. Good buy for sure.

Cheapo clamp!
I’ve bought 4 of these and 3 have broken. Made of cheap plastic and piece that mounts to the conga breaks off. After the first one broke I reordered cause they’re perfect for conga mics but same thing keeps happening. Gonna try something else

Very thin and flimsy. Not worth it. The clamp can not be fully tighten unless you want to strip the screw treads. Thanks.

don't buy
The clamp broke the second time we used it, its all plastic so its doomed to fail. The first time we used it it just kept spinning on the lug.
