Musical Fidelity LX2-HPA Headphone Amplifier (Black)

I bought new headphones,Beyerdynamic dt 990 pro. Had 2 other headphone amps that I thought were good,but just did not make the headphone sing the way I thought they should. so I purchased the musical fidelity lx2hpa and it did the trick, very large sound stage, and very high definition. the only thing they should of done is add the 24volt power supply. I purchased one a couple of days ago really hard to find one that would work, can not wait to get it .

For the price, this will be hard to beat. Despite being so small, it packs a punch. The fact that it includes three levels of gain for low to high impedance headphones is unheard of at this price point. It sounds very clean and neutral. I'm using akg k550 reference headphones and they sound great. The modest chassis and front fascia is appreciated as I believe musical fidelity spent the money on internals. For $299, it's hard to beat. It honestly sounds better than my graham slee novo.

Crystal clear amplification. Enough power to drive some of the hungriest of headphones, including the 250ohm DT990 (didn't even need to move past 12 o'clock). Very good value for the money. Been using this for 2 months now with my K712s.

Great soundstage.. depth. Powers all headphones withe ease

Used with Onkyo RN-855 amp line out to LX2-HPA, then to Beyer DT 770 80 Ohm headphones. Wonderful sound, I wish I had bought the 250 Ohm DT 770’s as I only need the gain at quarter on the lowest gain setting, so will definitely drive the most demanding headphones.I have knocked off one star because the power supply connection to the unit is very, very poor quality. It wobbles about in the socket and really doesn’t look like it will last the life of the unit, very disappointing that something as little as this has been skimped when the rest of the amp exudes quality.

The HPa from MF is a very good product. IT looks beautiful. Very good conditions and good quality. It sounds neutral and Haß a Lot of power. I use this with a beyerdynamic dt-990 (250 Ohm) . It sounds wonderfull. No problem to use two of them at the same time. I tried it.

Excellent headphone. I am more than pleased with it. Sounds brilliant and looks good too.
