Fun toy
This knife is well built, but the design is not very practical. I don’t regret buying it. I used it a lot the first few weeks, but I’ve decided to shelf it. The mechanism is clunky and requires 2 hands. The blade dulls quickly. But, it’s cool and fun to play with.

Poor design, poor quality, useless for self-defense.
I really wanted to like to this knife. It’s a cool concept and it grabbed my attention right away. However, it is a poorly designed gimmick. First, it is not a balisong knife. It is impossible to open the knife one-handed. The clasping mechanism doesn’t work/snap-in and needs to be guided by an additional hand. The clip was on the incorrect side, (Causing you to draw the knife backwards and overhand grip), when I put the pocket clip on the other side, the locking mechanism stopped swinging completely.A karambit is not a utility knife, it is a self-defense weapon. And a self-defense weapon that cannot be deployed rapidly is useless. Worse yet, you’d die fumbling with your weapon like a greenhorn and that’s unacceptable to say the least. There are other rapid deploy folding karambits on the market, they are more coin but I see now it’s worth it. What’s not worth the money is this blade. Poor design, poor quality, and useless for self-defense unless your attacker is kind enough to give 15 seconds to prepare.

Not practical
Wasn’t very practical. Cool concept, wish I would’ve thought about it first before buying.

The lock is the worst part of this knife.
This knife has only one major flaw, and that’s that the locking mechanism is spring loaded. And prevent single-handed use. I personally removed the spring and abrasion washers held around the lock, and it significantly improved the knife. Because the locking mechanism is a button-operated latch, taking out the spring does not effect the performance of the lock. It simply allows for single-handed use. It’s a little troublesome to have to make an adjustment to a purchase, but it’s very much worth the little extra effort.

I'm I bought one,it's a unique knife design an to add to my collection.
I liked everything about this knife except the locking mechanism an button, it was ok until I started carrying in my pocket an accidentally pressed up against a pallet of water at work, went to reach in my pocket for something an had quickly noticed that it indeed had opened up part of the way, luckily I was able to pull it out an recluse it, since I've carried it in my left pocket no problems, however, could've had a stronger button or ambidextrouss slide button or switch when in the hand for deployment an still be able to hit it with your thumb kinda but not like the crkt provoke, which is another awesome karambit that I got to see at bladebshow this june,June, a week of learning the wrist movements I was able to fold it closed one handed, while opening I got pretty good flipping it,it's also acts as a impact tool when closed using the piece of metal when folded up,as a striking tool as well as when your finger is in the loop, you can use the loop too as a striking tool, instead of cutting a assailant if you choose to do so,just from things I've learned.
