First one failed but was under warranty so Amazon sent another one and that one is working great no problem.. shoe brakes not disks

I have an issue with these purchases

I replaced both the cylinder and the cap and now one of the 2 or both are the incorrect size. the system is unsecure as the 2 parts do not mate correctly.Now i am searching locally to remedy the problem which has turned this purchase into a bigger issue than I had originally had.with the improper fit water or dirt can nter the brake system this way.
